Bayview wok Chinese Restaurant

Apon arriving I ordered dinner for 4. Because of the governments no tax, the manager refused to give me the 10% cash payment discount for pick up orders as stated on the takeout menu. This is false advertising as the tax doesnt come to him unless he's cheating. When home to share with friends, the chicken fried rice was dry and looked like yesterdays. The chicken wings were overcooked and not the usual taste. It was not a good experience to share with friends and I do not reccomend this place to anyone anymore.

Straight to the point Chinese food! Exactly what I expected, tastes just like if you were to go to mandarin or something. Great service, very fast! my family orders from here regularly!

Bayview Wok is a nice find that we stumbled upon while looking for a quick HK bite nearby. They have a terrific $9.50 lunch deal that we took advantage of even on weekend. The staff here was so courteous and welcoming, and recommended the dishes for us, the beef ho-fun and braised eggplant w/ meat & rice. The dishes had a nice wok fire flavour and came in huge portions along with soup. The flavours were slightly bland but touched up with soy sauce. The value was unbeatable in this inflationary time. We were even able to dine in at one of their 3 tables, and received cutlery. We noticed a steady flow of guests pop in mostly for takeout orders. Seems locals know this for affordable takeout.

This is mainly a take out restaurant with limited seating. Happen to drive by over the weekend and decided to give it a try dining in during lunch. Very impressed with the service and attentiveness. Food is good, very reasonably priced with big portions. Had such a good experience that I ordered dinner for 4 a few days later and they did not disappoint. Highly recommended!

This place has not disappointed. We were looking for “western” styled Chinese food for a while and we found this place. The people are pleasant the food quantity is decent for the price. Yes, some items could be better tasting but overall very happy. Definitely recommend! Don’t forget to follow me!!

I ordered the dinner for 2 for pickup. 2 Spring rolls, 1 Stir Fry Beef Broccoli, 1 Spare Ribs and asked for noodles instead of rice and they accommodated no problem. The Stir Fry Beef Broccoli was okay, not enough Beef and the Beef was very fatty and had lots of tendons. Would not get again. The Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs were fatty too and not very flavourful. I guess I was looking for unhealthy chinese food and this was more on the healthy side. Very good for healthy chinese food. The kitchen looked clean and food was ready when I arrived. Good customer service, lady at the front was very nice.

You can’t expect a traditional Chinese food here, actually it tuned slightly which is more favourable for western people but as a Chinese, I feel the taste is not bad honestly. Simple restaurant, mainly target take-out order, so you can’t expect too much on service but cashier is polite and friendly. The only problem is they only use disposable plate and cutlery which is not eco-friendly. Save the earth 🌏!!
