Located inside a historic train station in the heart of downtown Orangeville, Barley Vine Rail Co prides itself in serving great food that’s locally sourced, with everything house made (we mean everything- even our ketchup) along with a wide variety of local craft beer (11 on tap!) With an amazing patio, a large bar, and a gorgeous dining room, BVR is the perfect place for anything from stopping in for a quick meal, to hosting large events. We frequent this restaurant as the food is always good (only had one or two times where something wasn’t loved but that is to no fault of the restaurant, just personal preferences of husband or I). Food is fresh and always something new and interesting, and pricing is completely reasonable for what you get, especially in this economy and in comparison to some of the other places/chains in town. Will continue to be repeat customers!

What a pleasant surprise this was! A pub, but with such a kitchen! The food was delicious: I had Bourbon Salmon on rice with Asian veg. Dessert was the best crème brûlée I have ever had (not kidding), but it was the decaf coffee served in a French press that almost made me swoon with pleasure. That is so gloriously extra. I tip my hat the cooks; they know what they’re doing! Patio was miraculously wasp free and good dogs only 😊 The service was friendly and attentive. I’ll be back as soon as I can!

Great place to get a unique halloumi pulled pork grilled cheese, chicken sandwich, or seafood pasta. The duck fat fries was very good with the campfire mayo. Their drinks aren't boozy but quite delicious. (Pineapple breeze)

A very delicious potato leek soup which was not too thick and well seasoned. Fish tacos were superb. Beautiful atmosphere.

Dropped in for some patio drinks. Excellent service and good drinks. Killer Cesar and loved the ‘no boats on Sundays’ peach cider. We’ve eaten here in the past and also really enjoyed the food. South side of the patio is near an area that’s under construction, would recommend the northern side of the patio.

Vegan chilli was delicious, and the server was friendly. Would love to come back often if they have other mains that can be made vegan. The vegan chicken fingers were a tad too heavy on the sauce, however I really appreciate that they have this on the menu. Good ambiance.

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food, customer service and atmosphere was incredible. Their menu has a unique twist to their foods which made the dining experience fun and adventurous. There is a lot of love and creativity that goes into each dish. We were also pleasantly surprised at the price. This is definitely a restaurant we will be visiting more often.

Update. Visited Aug 2024. Service. Food and atmosphere was on point. Updated review to 5 stars. Great staff , food and service. Loved the homemade cheesecake. Disappointed waffles and chicken removed from menu. A bit of smell on the patio from surrounding areas otherwise a good treat.
