Welcome to BarDown Gastropub. Located at the back end of the Iroquois Sports Complex in Whitby ON. We do Sports BIG! Here you will find one of Durham Regions best places to watch the big game on one of our 17 TV’s and our 13ft x 7ft video wall. Don't want to watch practice in the cold rink? Watch practice here in the warmth of our space while enjoying your favourite beverage and some of our soon to be award winning pub food and friendly service. I was invited to BarDown Gastropub for the company's Christmas gathering. The atmosphere is very good. The staff are really friendly. I ordered Beer and Poutine. The Poutine was perfect. Crispy and fresh fries and great flavor. The address is far from me, but it's definitely on my list to visit here again.

Horrible service! Jenn was our server we had 2 adults 1 child and were meeting friends, another 2 adults 1 child. We arrived 1st. Took well over 20 minutes for a drink order of cocktail & beer. Screwed up ginger ale for my grandson & gave him lemon water. I changed my mind on an appetizer but ended up with both. Ordered food for both parties at table at same time but we got ours 20 minutes ahead of other family. Their Caesar dressing is too acidic & caused heart burn. .People beside us same experience. 40 min for 2 beers. They won't be back. Neither will we.

When this spot first opened I was very impressed with the food quality and prices. The food here is quite good - from what I have had on the menu. In my most recent visit I learnt that the nachos no longer included salsa and only sour cream, as you have to pay $2 for salsa, along with $2 for each extra salsa and sour cream. If you have more than two of you sharing this plate, the add on cost on these dips can get pricey. I was unimpressed to learn this on my bill, and it not be explained to me beforehand. I understand inflation, however I believe when you’re paying 20+ dollars for a plate of nachos, salsa and sour cream should be included in that price at the very least!

Well if you love watching sports and that is your atmosphere then it is perfect for that. You can enter from The parking lot without going in the arena! I think it is a great new pub option for south Whitby especially! I would not normally venture to an arena so the exterior entrance to get food and watch a game is perfect! Providing amazing food, huge portions and good service! Had the Peppercorn steak sandwich and Jamaican jerk smash burger both were juicy and full of flavour ! Our server was training tonight and she did a great job! Wine….buy a bottle of Jlohr!!! Not too expensive We will be back!

We had a large team hockey party and the Bardown staff were able to accommodate almost 50 people player and parents w ease. We all got our food and drinks quickly and the food was delicious. Thanks for taking care of us- we’ll be back

The best food in Durham region. Great staff that is very friendly. Try the butter chicken Mac and Cheese. Or The Brisket grilled cheese. The whole menu is unreal. The Whitby Wild Ringette U10 Team celebrated a great tourney silver medal 🥈 with our friends at BarDown! The service was excellent. We had twelve families join us and the drink and food orders were dealt with promptly. The food was served hot and the portion sizes plentiful. The parents and kids really enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly service. It was nice to see one of my sons old hockey teammates Drew Cairns working hard, he is a role model to the other 2006 kids working two jobs and studying for University! I would recommend BarDown to my Emergency Service family as well as anyone that enjoys great service, plentiful tasty food at a competitive price!! Best of luck in 2024!
