I’ve been here a few times, and I love the steak & frites, love the creative mocktails, and the atmosphere is really nice and chill. If you’re on a first date, it’s a great place and location. I wanted to give shoutout to Suzanne and Dan, really amazing people with wonderful personalities and of course service. Great job gang!!! 🫡🫡🫡

This restaurant has so much potential but fails to deliver with its execution. I was there this early evening with my significant other and it was empty which isn’t a good sign. I’ll concede that we were there before the dinner rush but I wasn’t comforted by the 1 menu we received which was dirty. We never received a second menu, so we had to share or read upside down. The drink menu was also dirty and as we sat by the window we had the company of a dead fly on the sill. We tried the Welly Bacon Cheeseburger and the chicken tenders which continued the theme song of “It’s just not quite there”. The burger had tons of flavour but it was overcooked and tough to chew. The chicken tenders were cooked close to perfection but were breaded too heavily. The breading was overcooked, pieces of it were falling off in large clumps. The fries were alright, perhaps a bit more salt was needed. With some slight tweaks to the menu and bit more love and passion, the food could be great. The same goes for the restaurant itself, it needs some closer attention to cleanliness. The bar is beautiful, a central attraction the moment you walk in but I would ditch the large TVs and fill those shelves with more lighting and bottles. No one is having a drink to watch the news. I’m interested to see how this restaurant continues on. I’m will be trying other places in the area and may be back to see if it lives up to what it could be. A shame really, it was very close to greatness.

Super cool & authentic pub to have some nice beer next to the crowded party mile. Loved the super friendly stuff and recommend beer. Highly recommended to have a beer and celebrate life :-)

Bar Wellington in Toronto is an absolute treasure for anyone looking to enjoy delicious food in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Nestled in a charming area of the city, this spot offers a delightful mix of comfort food, warm ambiance, and a fantastic dog-friendly patio, making it a perfect destination for both food lovers and pet owners alike. **Food and Drinks:** Our evening started with an impressive array of dishes that showcased the bar’s ability to put a unique twist on classic comfort foods. **Jerk Drumsticks:** These were the star of the night. They were perfectly cooked with a crispy exterior and juicy interior, seasoned with a spicy, flavorful jerk rub that had just the right amount of heat. The accompanying sauce added an extra layer of tanginess, complementing the spice perfectly. **Mac 'n' Cheese:** This dish was a creamy delight, made with a rich blend of cheeses that created a luscious, gooey consistency. The breadcrumbs on top provided a pleasant crunch, adding texture to every bite. Deconstructed Nachos:** A creative take on a traditional favorite, this dish featured a delightful mix of fresh ingredients. Each component—from the crispy tortilla chips to the perfectly seasoned beef and fresh salsa—came together beautifully, offering a burst of flavors with each bite. Poutine:** As a quintessential Canadian dish, Bar Wellington’s poutine did not disappoint. The fries were golden and crispy, generously topped with rich gravy and squeaky cheese curds that melted into the hot fries, creating a savory, satisfying experience. Cheeseburger:** The cheeseburger was everything you could want—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The toppings were fresh, and the cheese melted just right, making for a hearty, delicious bite. The drink menu was equally impressive, featuring a wide selection of craft beers and inventive cocktails. The bartender’s expertise shone through with each drink, perfectly balanced and refreshing, enhancing the overall dining experience. **Atmosphere and Service:** The atmosphere at Bar Wellington is inviting and relaxed, making it a great spot for both casual gatherings and special occasions. The interior exudes a warm, rustic charm with its wooden accents and cozy seating arrangements. The dog-friendly patio is a standout feature, providing a comfortable space for diners to enjoy their meals with their pets. It’s rare to find such a welcoming and accommodating spot for both humans and their furry friends, and this definitely adds a unique touch to the overall experience. The service was top-notch. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about their offerings, which added to the enjoyment of the evening. They were quick to make recommendations and ensured that all our needs were met, from food allergies to pet accommodations. **Overall Experience:** Bar Wellington is a true gem in Toronto’s dining scene. It’s the perfect place to unwind with friends, enjoy a hearty meal, and bring along your pet for a relaxing evening out. The combination of delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service makes it a must-visit spot. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, Bar Wellington is a destination that promises a memorable dining experience.

We decided to stop while passing through the neighbourhood and luckily it was one of those pleasant little places we find in our way. Good vibe, the service was great and the food was fresh and tasty. Amazing beer selection and the restaurant atmosphere was something else. Reasonable price. Definitely a place we would return. We got a sit almost immediately and even the patio had some free seats, despite being a little busy.

First time visiting this bar, and I was impressed by the beautiful patio and overall pleasant atmosphere. We ordered chicken dumplings, a basket of fries, and chicken drumsticks to share. All three appetizers were delicious, with the chicken dumplings and fries standing out. The dumplings, though tasty, were a bit small. The drumsticks had good flavor but were a bit dry; however, the portions were generous, and the pricing was reasonable. The thin fries were especially delightful. While the beer prices are a bit high and the food selection isn't very extensive, the great atmosphere and tasty food make up for it. The servers were friendly and efficient, delivering our food quickly. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience.
