When you want great drinks and require great service, this is the place! I asked for non menu drinks. ex: please make me a whiskey mixed drink that’s not too sweet. He came through with a Paper Plane. I then asked for a Canadian Gin cocktail and he made a Gimlet. Such a nice compliment to the gin made here in Toronto. Gomez was a legit mixologist.

This place is super cool. We enjoyed dirty martinis and raw oysters that were priced fairly during happy hour specials. The atmosphere was super fun and relaxing. The staff was nice and we felt welcomed! We also appreciated the efficient service, as we stopped here with limited time before an event.

Nestled away with a secret entrance that only adds to its allure, Bar St. Lo presents itself as a slightly upscale haven perfect for evening dining. Its discreet location might make it a treasure hidden in plain sight, but the culinary experience within is boldly unforgettable. Dishes Ordered: Steak Tartare: ★★★★★ Pork Belly: ★★★★★ Burger: ★★★★★ Ambience: ★★★★★ Service: ★★★★★ Overall Experience: ★★★★★ Review: Upon entering Bar St. Lo, the ambience immediately sets the tone for an exclusive culinary journey. The place, though tucked away, opens up into a vibrant dining experience that's both intimate and inviting. Steak Tartare: The evening kicked off with an exquisite plate of steak tartare. The tenderloin was impeccably seasoned, paired with capers, yolk, and tarragon, which altogether brought out the richness of the meat. The crispy crostini served alongside was the perfect vehicle for the tender tartare, starting the meal on a high note. Pork Belly: Next, the pork belly was a revelation. The meat was both juicy and crispy, a textural delight that's hard to achieve. Accompanied by a citrusy napa salad imbued with char siu flavors, every bite was a harmonious blend of zest and savor, making it an exceptionally memorable dish. Burger: The burger was nothing short of a masterpiece. A blend of short rib and brisket patty, smoked onion aioli, gouda, and the freshest produce assembled within a soft bun, it was the juiciest burger I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. The crispy potatoes and salad on the side were more than just accompaniments; they were integral to the dish's overall excellence, making each mouthful a celebration of flavors and textures. Overall Experience: Bar St. Lo is a gem that offers an unparalleled dining experience. From the secret entrance that piques your curiosity to the last bite of your meal that leaves you wanting more, every element of this restaurant is curated to perfection. The service mirrors the quality of the food—impeccable and attentive, ensuring a meal that's as seamless as it is delicious. For those seeking a dining experience that combines the thrill of discovery with the comfort of familiar flavors executed with flair, Bar St. Lo is a must-visit. Its charm lies not just in its hidden location but in the culinary adventures that await within.

Beautiful restaurant right next to the St Lawrence market with a great collection of cocktails and food. Had not been into the restaurant (which has one of the nicest interiors in the city) since it was the previous restaurant. It did not disappoint. Cocktails were flavourful and well balanced, oysters were fresh and tasty and the mac and cheese with bone marrow was fun (almost need two bones as it was that good). Overall worth the visit

Came to Bar St Lo after our free tour and had an amazing time. The avocado toast was tasty - I added 2 egg for more filling. Service was good and fast.

We went on Friday to enjoy some cocktails and late night dinner and we were delighted at the inventive flavours, complex cocktails and outstanding service. Matthew was our bartender and his cocktails were sublime and thoughtfully crafted! We had the seasonal cocktails; Herbal Remedy, Terajuma and the smokey Remy Smith! Quality Street cocktail is fantastic if you want to be transported into the holidays! Chicken and waffles were a great way to start the meal but the slaw, stole the show with its texture and surprise spicy kick! Duck confit is so flavourful. The fois Gras with cinnamon toast crunch, and sweet sauce was such a fun dish we'd absolutely get it again! This joint has solid music, good vibes and is a great date spot to boot.

3.7/5 The patio is lovely on a warm day and the food was decent. We started with two items from the happy hour menu. The Bone Marrow was rich and flavourful and nice to share. The Oysters were okay. There was one that tasted a bit off which gave me pause. For mains, we shared the Calamari and Pork Chop. The calamari was crispy and flavourful. The pork chop was quite impressive with a wonderful combination of flavours and textures. I appreciated the thought that went into this dish as the flavours were quite intricate. The small disappointment was that it wasn’t hot when it arrived, and that the spaetzle (fried egg noodle) topped on the pork chop wasn’t crispy but a chewy texture, which didn’t exactly compliment the dish well. As for the service, one server dropped cutlery on my friend when clearing the table and didn’t offer anything to clean her clothes off. This was a bit surprising. Although pleasant, the servers were a bit absent and rushed. Overall, it was an okay experience. Perhaps a one off so we may give it another shot if we’re in the area!

One of my favourite spots in the neighborhood, I’ve been here a number of times for special celebrations and casual dinners. Excellent drinks and good menu. The staff have always been extraordinarily friendly and nice. The atmosphere is fitting for any occasion.
