Banknote Bar Corktown

One of our go-to pubs in our neighborhood. My chicken club sandwich was delicious, and we were happy to take advantage of happy hour pricing for drinks to celebrate New Year's Eve!

Jazz was the best! Super hospitable and the dark and stormy she made me was the best I’ve ever had! She also charged my friends phone in her car because we needed a charger, talk about a 12/10 experience!

We were a group of 10 people and at no point while we were being seated or being served it was communicated that tip will be included. But I’m willing to look past that because I understand we’re a large group but to then include 20% TIP?? That’s so ridiculous and I’ve never even had a Michelin star restaurant include 20% tip… on top of that, the server was so rude to us especially my friend and barely tended to us because obviously she was going to include the 20% tip. I was honestly so afraid to speak up because as a women and a POC I didn’t want to get any back lash from our server. The cherry on top was that the burger I ordered was basically burnt and the cheese was barely melted on my poutine. I will definitely not be visiting again and I would suggest save your money and go somewhere else.

Very nice patio. Spacious, modern furniture, some flowers, lots of umbrellas. Super friendly servers, delicious beer and good food. We'll be back!

The Banknote Bar in Corktown is a great spot for a casual hangout with friends. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they have plenty of TVs to catch sporting events. They have a wide selection of beers on tap, along with delicious pub fare at reasonable prices. Their happy hour specials (4-7pm) are particularly budget-friendly, with pizzas, pastas, burgers, and wings all under $15. During my recent visit, I saw many pizzas walk by me and they looked and smelled delicious. I recently tried their wings during my visit, and while they were tasty, the hot sauce could have been spicier. Overall, I had a positive experience at the Banknote Bar and look forward to going back to try more of their menu.

🦋 Little did we know that living in the area would make us “Regulars” of this place. The Bar has a wide range of typical drink selections and good food choices, it’s located on the small but quiet portion of Ontario St & Adelaide. With a lovely, relaxed patio on the outside and plenty of seating on the inside, we have always found a place to sit, even on super busy days. This is no typical bar though, and definitely the reason we are “Regulars”. Every single item on the menu is a bang-on hit! Sooooo good. We mean EVERYTHING! Is it possible that an average-looking bar can have food that tastes incredibly good? We just tried the sausage and pepper pasta for the first time this week, and it’s our favourite on the menu! The serving size is huge so we split one for the both of us. Everyone greets you pleasantly and reminds us that we are ALWAYS welcome here. Thanks to Banknote and its staff for providing us with quick service and the most all-around delicious food we’ve ever had at a bar! Shoutout to the kitchen staff and servers, who are all rockstars making our tummies feels warm and loved ❤️. This is our experience. What’s yours? 🦋
