BanBan Korean Fried Chicken - Scarborough

Wanted to try Korean Fried Chicken for some time now. Glad I came here. The chicken were crispy outside and juicy inside. Looked beautiful with the glazing. Good size too. About 8 or 9 pieces. Enough for 2 people. We tried the spicy one. The sauce was good, not that spicy. But it was balanced. Plenty of sauce at the bottom too. Lot of chillies. Service was excellent. Will be back to try other items.

The fried chicken is really crispy outside, juicy inside !! With the flavourful sauce, overall is just great !!! Even with the 2 fire level marked on the menu, personally I don’t think it’s too spicy though. If you like “cream sauce”, the cream tteokbokki definitely will satisfy your appetite!

The food we had here was excellent. The chicken was perfectly crispy and the sauce was a good balance of sweetness and tanginess. The price for the chicken is a bit cheaper than other Korean fried chicken restaurants. The rose sauce for the tteokbokki was the right amount of creaminess and had good flavour. The server was attentive and friendly. Glad they are in Scarborough now. Will definitely return for more

I would say that this is the best Korean fried chicken restaurant in the neighborhood. The food and service is top-notch. Staffs are friendly as lots of reviews have described already. Their service was excellent, I gladly put 25% tips. I have been to other BanBan locations in Durham region already and I can confirm that this was the best one among three BanBan locations I have been. Their chicken is really crispy and juicy, the sauces are very delicious. Yangnyeom will be my forever favourite. Don't miss out on their tteokbokki.. their tteokbokki is the best.

Arrived here with the wife and our friend. Service was very attentive and super. The staff was so friendly and did not rush us and ensured our meal was tasty and we were comfortable. Our server was very sweet and even though it was her first day, she did a splendid job and we cannot wait to dine here again. Keep up the fantastic work and food. Also make sure you try the milk drink. It's so delicious.

Edit: I have visited this place three more times after I left my review, and not even a single visit was disappointed. They really are the best. I love this restaurant so much🥹❤️ The best Korean fried chicken I've ever had. As a Korean who's been living in Scarborough for years and tried all the Korean fried chicken spots nearby, and this new place that's just opened up became the top 1. The portion can't be compared with others, it's A LOT! I don't have a picture but their Tteokbokki is so good, there's no picture because we finished it so fast lol. Customer service is another level, they know how to treat their customers and their excellent service made me feel extra special. I hope this place gets more people to come and stay long!

It's dream come true. Was waiting for halal korean fried chicken for soo long! And they opened just in front of my doorstep!!! Their portion size is huge. We ordered their best seller 'Yanghyeom'. Chicken was crispy and tasted amazing. They got caring stuffs as well. This will be regular go to place from now on.

Let me preface this review by saying the food was perfect. I've eaten Korean fried chicken from restaurants all over the area and this was some of the best. Even the fries had some sort of coating that made them extra good. Very pleased with the food. The next time I order though, and there will be a next time: it will not be dine-in. They seem to prioritise delivery orders over dine-in orders. Which seems like an odd choice. We ordered our food at 6pm, and received our food at 7pm, people at tables next to us who arrived later received their food well before ours. And yes as one other reviewer pointed out the chicken was weirdly cold even though I knew it had just come out of the fryer. The sauces are kept cold enough to affect the chicken after application. I understand it's a new restaurant and all businesses have teething issues, and won't hold a grudge over things that will undoubtedly get fixed down the line. Our waitress was exceptional though, very apologetic about the issue. I wasn't a Karen, I didn't blame her for kitchen issues. And tipped her well.
