The person that took my order was very kind and helpful! ¡Muchas gracias! My enchiladas were delicious and they were also accommodating towards a vegetarian diet with a swap to beans instead of chicken. Definitely worth a visit, my only wish was a larger portion or a lesser price. All in all, it was delicious and I loved it!

The food in this little authentic restaurant is absolutely delicious! We will definitely be coming back. We ordered the chorizo empanada, carnita and Pollo tacos, and beef nachos. Everything was so fresh and tasty.

When I was living in the U.S., there was a Mexican restaurant I really loved. I’ve been hoping to find something similar here in Canada. I’ve tried a few places, but something was always missing—until tonight, when we tried Balam in Toronto. OMG, the taste was almost the same, and I’m so glad I found it! I’ll definitely be going back. The server was also very kind!

Great tacos. We had birria and barbacoa. Both were good but if I go again I think I'd still pick the birria. Service was good and the place itself is nice. The chairs were a little uncomfortable. Always appreciate places that have cups and free water. Definitely recommend.

This place near Landsdowne and Bloor should not be overlooked for any lovers of Mexican food. Everything I got was super fresh, vibrant flavours, and a real home style feeling. Super reasonable prices considering the ingredients taste pretty high quality. I walked by this place once a day for six months before I decided to pop my head in and it’s gonna be a regular spot from now on! Had a torta!

This place is the real deal. Great tacos and empanadas. While there are mostly meat options on the menu there are vegan and veggie options. I had empanadas and they were so tasty. My friend had the carnitos tacos and loved them. Def a recommend if you like food that tastes authentic.

You know a Mexican place is authentic when the other diners are all speaking Spanish. Balam serves very delicious food, got the cactus dip and mixed tacos along with their signature drink. Everything was great, will come back to try other dishes.

This cute little place was so unexpected and made me feel like I had just arrived in Mexico . From the outside, you may easily drive by, but do yourself a favor and go in. Felt 100% genuine and authentically Mexican. Great service and vibe! I had the double tortilla street tacos with pulled pork, and then we shared the chicken. So good ! They have breakfast, homemade corn chips, and many other truly authentic Mexican dishes. I'm definitely coming back 🙂👍
