Bakhtar Kabab - Afghan Restaurant

Amazing authentic afghani food, I got the wazri platter and the sultani platter. The chicken was so tender and juicy, the kofta kebab of both chicken and beef was seasoned so well. The fluffy fresh rice really was amazing. And the bread was soft yet crispy. 10/10 would recommend.

We chanced upon Bakhtar while we were in the area, and are so glad that we went there for dinner. Absolutely delicious food! The kababs were hot and fresh, and we enjoyed every bite. The baklava was also amazing. The owners were warm and pleasant and we enjoyed chatting with them. We’ll definitely visit again!

I came here a long time ago and had a wonderful experience but forgot to put a review, so happy that I found them accidentally again! The food here is wonderful and so fresh. They make the fresh kabobs right in front so you can enjoy the smell even before the food is ready. Plenty of space and parking for the whole family to enjoy. I had the kofta kabob, chicken tika and fries and they were all amazing. Juicy chicken, beef and crispy fries. Also my first time here I had their chicken breast sandwich and really enjoyed that too, excellent bread, proper kabab portion inside and filled with amazing salad and sauces. I came at the end of day before they closed so the video does not show but they have so many good Kebabs ready for the grill. Visit and enjoy, I know I’m coming back for thirds! Also don’t forgot to use cash or debit, they don’t accept credit cards here.

I’m giving this restaurant 5 stars because when my family and I were there it felt like we were at some family member’s house. The staff were amazing and very friendly. The restaurant is extremely child friendly and caters to all kinds of groups. The food was fantastic as well. It’s your classic Afghan food but probably the best in the GTA. The portions are generous and the meats are grilled to perfection. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a hearty and delicious meal.

Clean restaurant and excellent customer service. Ordered the beef shami kebab wrap. Was fresh tasting, wish it had more flavor of the meat. But an excellent lunch option. Plan to try the chicken breast wrap next time.

Don’t know where to start! This place is a hidden gem to say the least. It’s a family run business and we’re always treated with such great customer service. The food is amazing and would have to say the best Afghan spot in the city. All the meats are tender and always made fresh to order, and the prices are also reasonable. Although the restaurant does need a little bit of a make over from the inside, I have yet to be disappointed in terms of the quality of food and service. Would highly recommend!!!
