BAB Korean Food & BBQ

That place is in a major need of some TLC. I don’t want to shame the place but at least get some stationary seating. It’s not that bad but the area in general is not somewhere you want to be walking in a dark alley at night. It is worth going for the food. Some of it I probably would reorder but overall it’s a descent place for bbq and traditional Korean dishes. Wish there could have been more side dishes but whatever. The rice cakes be like stuck but was tasty

Will not be returning. I will start with the positive. The atmosphere was okay. I don’t remember being uncomfortable. There was only one guy serving & cooking. He was a gentleman. My issue with solely with the food. I’ve had KBBQ around the world & this was by far the worst tasting. I ordered gamjatang (pork soup) it was the worst i’ve ever had. The broth was basically tomato soup. Too thick & bad flavour. Not the consistency it’s supposed to be. The meat was tender however. I also ordered LA kalbi. It came completely overcooked. It was actually burnt and black. Chewy. Not what you would ever expect for such an expensive cut of meat. The flavour was also strange & bitter. Whatever they used to marinate was unusual & I did not enjoy. If you’re versed in this food you will notice right away. I will add some photos of the burnt food. I did not send the kalbi back to be remade as the flavour was so bad that even if it was cooked properly, I wouldnt have enjoyed it. So why waste food. Kimchi was among the best i’ve ever tasted 100. Everything else was so bad that I will not be visiting again. I also got kimchi rice which was entirely undercooked and crunchy. Disappointed.

Extraordinary food, very traditional, fresh and extremely delicious. I had a really nice time at BAB. Very worth it and the staff is very friendly, always making sure we had everything we needed.

Pretty good place and food was good. Service can be tighter but maybe they short of staffs like everwhere else. We ordered bimbimbap for my husband, gamjatang for me and crispy Korean fried chicken. Gamjatang can be more spicier a bit mild for my taste but the flavour is there. Overall was good experience and will be back.

Took my wife to this restaurant on her birthday as she admires korean culture and food, and this place didn't disappoint. The food was amazing and ambience was perfect. She loved the hot pot, crispy chicken dumplings, fried chicken and the sides. The staff welcomed us with a smile and were courteous throughout. Five stars for this great cozy nook corner place, its a piece of Seoul in hamilton.

It was a fluke I ended up here but it's one of those times where you are glad you made that decision because it was one of the best meals I've had period. This my first real Korean cuisine experience and it set the bar extremely high... staff were very kind, it should be on " You Gotta Eat Here". Other than pork dumplings I don't know what I ordered because most of the menu was in Korean but it has a brief English description and it was some type of Spare Rib Pork bowl... Great Job BAB! I highly recommend. I do not like any type of fermented cabbage but this was my first experience so I always try new things, I tried the Kimchi and that was amazing... everything was. The price is extremely reasonable, the meal in the photo was $26 including Taxes

This is an excellent Korean restaurant and is truly a wonderful place to eat authentic Korean food. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is very well lit and not noisy so you can have conversations with your party. The waiters are very friendly and checked on us multiple times during the meal to ensure we had enough water, and if we needed a refill on our sides. After being seated we received a menu full of delicious meals and once we decided on our food, we could press a button on the wall to call a waiter to our table. The food came out fairly quick and we did not wait very long to receive all our meals. All of our food came out super hot and still sizzling or boiling and remained hot during the whole meal. The food was delicious, well portioned, and left you wondering what you would order the next time you came for a meal. The bathrooms are clean, and smell nice. The restaurant itself was very clean.
