I had the pleasure of dining at the Armenian Bistro on August 14 2024 with my sister and parents ... and it was an unforgettable experience! The moment I walked in, I was enveloped in a warm and cozy atmosphere, complete with traditional Armenian decor and soft music. The FOOD was exceptional But the true star of the show was the food. Oh, the food! Every bite was a masterclass in flavor and technique. I ordered several dishes but the best was the Pork Shashlik. Each dish was expertly prepared and presented. The flavors were bold and authentic, with a clear passion for tradition and heritage. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I left feeling satisfied but not stuffed, eager to return and try more of the menu. If you're a fan of Armenian cuisine or just looking to try something new, do yourself a favor and visit the Armenian Bistro. You won't be disappointed! Rating: 5/5 stars

The food was very good. We tried a few different kebabs with rice, salad and grilled veggies. Everything was light and easy to eat... Not too greasy/heavy. The rice was very flavorful. The tomato sauce wasn't the best. The place was empty when we got there, but there was still a bit of a wait. No complaints though, as the food was freshly made.

The family always wanted to try Armenian cuisine and decided to try this place. We did not get disappointed the food was such a delight. It is not a big place there are only about 4 tables that seats 4 each and one table for two. We ordered the following: 1) Beef cheeks with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. The meat was so melt in your mouth tender. It was so delicious and tasteful. 2) The chicken shashlik meal with rice and roasted vegetables and house tomato sauce. The grilled chicken was well seasoned and so good. 3) Khachapuri the double layer freshly baked handmade dough stuffed with mozzarella cheese topped with mixed egg and cheese. It was like pizza and the kids just loved it. 4) Varenyky - small dumplings with potatoes are like pierogies and served with fried onion and sour cream 5) Khinkali - large dumplings with ground beef, fresh herbs and spices The portions are big and the price is so reasonable. Everything was so flavourful and so delicious that we can't wait to go back and try other items in the menu.

FOOD: I will attempt to be as objective as I can. The Chanaxi soup was delicious. Cheburekki with beef were unbeatable. I suggest you eat them fresh. That's when you get to really taste the flavour. When it comes to khinkali, this is where I got disappointed. I did not like the texture of the dough and I found the beef filling to be lacking in flavour and portion size. Khinkali from Tiflisi (1970 Queen St East, Toronto) and Sarko (1480 Major MacKenzie Dr West, Maple) taste better in my subjective opinion. I can't wait to go back and try their lulu chicken shashlik (kebab). I saw them making it for another customer and the skewer looked juicy with plenty of meat. Honestly, this place is a true gem. I'll be coming here every time I'm in that area. SERVICE: The people working there made a positive impression on me. They're really nice, courteous, and hardworking. AMBIANCE: This is your typical fast-food place with a counter and several tables to sit at. It's not very spacious. There are, I think, 5 or 6 tables in total. It's fine when you're passing by and want to stop by for a bite, but doing takeout and enjoying their food at home makes more sense to me.

This is a welcoming friendly local hidden gem in Etobicoke serving delicious Armenian food! This place is full of Armenian decor…so lovely! I am a meat lover and all the grilled meats, stewed beef cheek, and fried chicken breast were absolutely delightful! The kebab platter price is very reasonable! And the pizza and the sides especially the carrot side dish…must try! They also carries products from Armenian. I would highly recommend to call ahead and pick up.

I really love this place! This middle eastern restaurant was very welcoming from the staff, the pictures on the wall and the cleanliness. The food was simple but yet has some really flavourful punch to the taste buds. To really get the taste you would have to experience it for yourself. Most, if not everything, was made in house and handmade (especially the pasta; it's fresh!) There is enough food for everyone to choose from, vegetarian options, meat lovers (I recommend the beef cheeks!), appetizers, salads, desserts and even Jams sold in jars. Even though this is probably a small portion of Armenian food, I certainly recommend it.
