Ariake Japanese Restaurant

The food while fresh was bland, not tasty, and not much better than mall take out quality. The salad had a very thin watered down dressing, one of the worst Japanese sushi restaurants salads that I ever had The sushi boat that we ordered had very plain sushi and small sashimi The waitresses brought out one miso soup and one salad even though there was two of us. Considering we were paying over $50 for a sushi boat, she should of brought us two, although for the lousy taste of salad, it was not a problem to not have the extra salad. Usually a waiter would bring an extra salad or miso if there are two people sharing a sushi boat, but apparently they could not be bothered. I really did not enjoy this meal at all, and I will not be going back to this restaurant, and I would not recommend to try this restaurant.

I’ve been here a few times and it was decent. This time I ordered take out and was so disappointed. The quality really went downhill. The salmon sushi pizza was a joke, it was literally the fried rice patty topped with mayo and salmon. So plain and lacklustre. The edamame was cold, bland and didn’t even have salt on it. The salmon sashimi was very low grade. Looks like their cutting corners. Totally mediocre, they’re not even trying. It’s edible, but won't be ordering from them again.

Great service and atmosphere. I like the Japanese style, small little partitions which give more privacy to costumers. Food was ok, not so much with the sushi. I usually like sushi. My firstime to eat sushi with cream cheese.

This place was good. The decor was really cute and we got seated in the “little private rooms”. We both got the dynamite roll combo I believe and I upgraded mines with avocado. The workers were really kind so it made up for the okay sushi. I don’t know if it was just how the batch of rice that day but it was on the dryer side. Overall a good experience and I wouldn’t mind coming back here if I was in the area.

Never judge a book by its cover! Food was fresh, and very nice staff. I only removed a star its because in total, the food was overpriced. But was worth the try! I can guarantee Ariake is the best sushi restaurant in this neighborhood.

Went here and it’s a small and cute place! The service was quick and the lady was really kind. I had no issues with my meal. I came for lunch and thought the prices were pretty good and fair. Tofu teriyaki: loved the tofu! The onions and cabbage underneath were the perfect texture not too salty. The yam sushi was still crunchy from the tempura and the texture of the rice was great! Chicken teriyaki: I didn’t eat this one but I had some of the sashimi. They were thick pieces and really nice!

One of the best sushis in my life I got Salmon Mountain Roll and it was second to none. I definitely recommend this place as the staff are really kind and considerate. The sushi was absolutely fresh and the portions were more than enough.

One roll per person is enough to get full, even at dinnertime. The rolls are huge with a great rice to filling ratio. And such variety! Big lunch specials. Great miso soup. My go-to a la carte sushi spot!
