Antica Osteria Italian Eatery Limited

I have been to Antica Osteria since it opened and it has never disappointed me. I just went again yesterday with some friends who have never been and they were floored by the food, drinks, and desserts. The quality of the food is amazing and the menu is authentic. Angela, Chris and Isabella treat everyone like they are a part of the family. It is because of their personal touch that I have had every single family function and event there. Price wise, they are comparable to other authentic restaurants in the GTA. Sometimes we consider to try other places, just because, but we never do because Antica Osteria never disappoints me. Hands down, they are the best Italian restaurant around. Thank you Antica for always ensuring we have a wonderful time.

We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary there today and the food was amazing. Food arrived in a timely manner, service was great. Chris was great! We ordered some of their amazing specials. We would definitely be back for more!

We have been going to Antica Osteria for 10 years for special occasions. We continue to be impressed with the food and service. Christmas decorations were a nice touch this evening. We were particularly impressed with the same wonderful welcome. All the while, we were saddened to discover , that this week, they lost two members of their immediate family. Instead of closing down, they worked with a committed staff and put their patrons above their own grief and continued to stay open. Our sincere condolences to everyone at the Osteria

Food was quite decent. Some work can be done on the ambience. The entry is through the bar which looked really dull with bright white lights and painted white walls. We ordered their pasta, lamb chops, calamari, mixed bruschetta and eggplant parm. Food was well seasoned. Mixed bruschetta bread was a little chewy and they served butter in those small plastic containers which is something McDonalds or A&W would use. Calamari was good for the most part. Overall experience was good but could be better if ambience and other details were taken care of.

Old school Italian place with a big heart and food to die for. We tried a risotto (best in the country), bruschetta, chicken marsala, and everything was sumptuous. We were served promptly, and the hosts ensured that our food was perfect. Loved the decor and comfort seating as well. Will definitely be back for more !

The food was amazing but the service was awful. I will probably never go back unless it's during the week and not on the weekend when they have a ton of events or large parties. I made a reservation for 7pm and we got there at 651pm. There was a ton of people already waiting inside and no hostess in sight. Finally someone was available and they told me to wait because the table wasn't ready. They were also setting up for a large party/event as well and it seemed like a large group had just finished as they were all chatting and standing outside the restaurant. While we were waiting, either the owner or relatives of the other storm through with a bunch of kids and teenagers. The teenagers went behind the bar, the hostess was carrying and holding one of the kids. It just seemed very unprofessional for a more fine dining type of restaurant. Our table was ready and we were tucked away in the back with a bunch of other tables. The layout was awful and it was very difficult to move and get by if you needed to go to the bathroom. We waited 15 mins or so until the server who I think may also be the manager, Chris, came by to go through the specials and then immediately walked away. We already looked at the menu and wanted to order an alcoholic beverage and an appetizer. I had to flag him down and call him over so that he could take our order and we ordered our main at the same time. The calamari and Charcuterie board were delicious. We all ordered chicken or veal parmesan with a side of pasta of our choice either the penne al vodka or the spinach ricotta ravioli. The food was delicious. The red sauce they used on the chicken parm wasn't my fave, a bit bland but still good none the less. After we finished eating, we waited atleast 20 to 30 mins. I wanted to order dessert but by the time I got someone's attention we wanted to get out of there. The party was extremely loud and inconsiderate. The restaurant seemed very short staffed and unorganized. No one was able to get to our table. Finally Chris came over after I grabbed his attention. He came over and cleared out plates and apologized saying he asked someone to clear our table ten minutes ago. He brought containers and our bill and we left. It was way too hectic in there. We most likely won't be back which is unfortunate because we did enjoy the food. They should notify reservations about booked parties as it doesn't affect the overall experience and they neglect paying customers. They lost money because we didn't end up ordering dessert due to the poor customer service and extremely long wait times. We felt ignored and completely forgotten. They only came over to us when I called them over. Very disappointed. This was my 2nd time here.

We recently stopped in for a celebratory lunch and our experience was nothing short of exceptional. We did not have reservations; however, they were able to accommodate us. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that kept the tone for this happy moment. We started with a delicious bruschetta that taunted our taste buds with its fresh flavors and perfect balance of ingredients. For the main course, I opted for the Fish Special, Filet of Sole accompanied by large tiger shrimp with a lemon sauce and a heavenly champagne risotto. Each bite was a symphony of flavours for my palate, leaving me thoroughly impressed. My client indulged in the chicken parmigiana with penne alla vodka, and she couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was - especially since a meal like this was out of her comfort zone. It was beautifully prepared and we could hardly wait to start eating once it was served. There were many daily options to choose from aside from their main menu. The ambiance was charming, there was enough open space to have a private conversation and the decor was comfortable and inviting. Despite our best intentions, the portions were so generous and satisfying that we found ourselves too full for dessert. However, that only speaks to the quality and quantity of the delectable dishes served here. Overall, our experience was nothing short of delicious and we will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this Italian gem to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

The decor in this establishment I would describe as top-notch. Definitely a surprise, as from the outside doesn't look like much. The location has a severe lack if parking though due to the amount of businesses in the plaza, and how busy this establishment is. The food here is what you would expect from a genuine authentic Italian restaurant. Seasoned and cooked perfectly, portion sizes large enough without being too much. The restaurant sitting area could use some partials walls or some other way of minimizing the travel of sounds because it was extremely loud the entire time due to a large table of ten sitting next to us. Our service was great except for the basket of bread our table was suppose to get being forgotten about until asked for. Other than that a great place.
