Established in Chennai, India in the year 1964, Anjappar has been the pioneer to bring the foods of the famed Chettiars to the people around the world. Over the years, Anjappar has mastered the art of using spice to give one’s taste buds the best food experience. From humble beginnings from more than 50 years back, Anjappar has become a synonym for Chettinad Cuisine. The demand for this unique food has led us to take this experience overseas. The garlic fish here is SO GOOD! I ordered it as semi-gravy as an appetizer to share. Prawn biryani is flavourful, good quantity.

Great food. Not too spicy as other South Indian places. They have kept their quality consistently good. Service and servers are as always exceptionally well spoken and courteous. My coffee had too much milk, Deepa immediately got me another stronger one as replacement. Really appreciated.

Went off hours and ordered a few dishes to eat in. Relatively focused menu concentrated on Southern Indian, service was excellent and food was generously portioned and well seasoned. Revolving special items depending on availability, and they hold special event dinners. Lots of seating. Difficult to gauge atmosphere but this is largely because we went off hours.

Best place in Mississauga & Brampton to have authentic Tamil Nadu style non veg food. First we got a mutton bone soup. It was spicy like back home and perfect for the cold weather. Then we got a Fish and Shrimp Thali. Both were amazingly delicious.😋

The best Dosa I've ever had! This location is our favourite. The food is delicious, the atmosphere reminds me of a dosa restaurant back home and the staff are extremely hospitable. We were served by Denis and he treated us just like family. Such a wonderful service provided by him. Anjjapar is truly an authentic dosa experience. A must try for south indian cuisine! Can't wait to go back!

Be prepared the food is really hot and spicy. But was an authentic Tamilian Biryani.We ordered egg Kottu and mutton Biryani.The taste was good but was really spicy so had to order the Falooda to cool off my palate. Falooda was original and yummy as well without any corn syrup.Services were a lil delayed but over all ambience was amazing.

The experience of dining on authentic Chettinad cuisine was truly a delight. The servers and the rest of the staff were exceptionally friendly and kind, offering delicious recommendations. We tried the medhu vadai, ghee dosa, and masala dosa. Each bite was a burst of flavor. The portion sizes of the dosas were enormous. We will definitely be back!
