We went in for their breakfast buffet and loved it ! So much variety of good warm food , gracious hosts , freeflowing chutneys and the filter coffee to finish it off ! Amazing experience, and easy on the pocket as well !

Had an amazing experience at Anjappar! The food was delicious as always, with just the right amount of spice that Anjappar is known for. A special shoutout to Sudha, who served us with a warm smile and was incredibly attentive throughout the meal. Her service made the experience even better. Highly recommend both the food and the excellent hospitality!

I really have enjoyed the different kinds of food at this restaurant.. Obviously, a south Indian place offers a great variety of dosa and idly, Vada combinations but to enjoy the rest of the flavors is a delight here.

Food is delicious as always. Garlic fish and butter naan were absolute the best. Sandra the server was very helpful and kind. I come here every time I visit Toronto from the States. The best Indian restaurant I've ever been.

I went to this place on a Sunday. First I went to Godavari which was temporary closed, then went to Sarvana Bhawan and Ooops the wait time was more than an hour. I do not understand why people wait when they are hungry, but anyways, I searched for this place which is close to Sarvana Bhawan. The experience is not awsome but not bad too. Have a mixed feeling about taste as sambar was good, some chutney were good buy the masala dosa is not that great. Same goes with wadaa. I feel, every item in a meal is not great together but some are better. I would say, the experience is average.

Excellent Chettinad food. This is one of the 3 Anjappar locations in the GTA, and is located close to Square One. The quality and service are just as great. I had the chicken rassam soup and the pomfret masala fry. Both were excellent. Mutton bone soup was excellent. Note, it is a bone broth soup and not a meat soup. Also have tried cream corn soup, excellent. If you like chicken wings, I recommend the andhra chicken appetizer which is frenched chicken drumsticks glazed in a chilli chicken Hakka style sauce. This is how chicken wings should be. Your baseline standard for chicken wings will change after you try these. If you have come to Toronto as a tourist and want to try something memorable and original, try the mutton chuka thali plate. I have tried the mutton chuka plate and it was first class. Quality accompaniments. Rice was excellent quality. The mutton curry was superb, quality boneless cuts, deep thick curry sauce, very spicy. Chicken Dum biriyani was also good. Authentic Madras style biriyani taste. See the picture of the ghee paper masala dosa. A rice crepe with a diameter of 24 inches, stuffed with mashed potatoes, and served with several dippings (2 chutneys and 2 sambars). This and the Thali plate are 2 things to try if you are a tourist here. I have tried the mutton and chicken thali plates, the mutton curry one is highly recommended as the curry is richer and deeper (have a look at the pictures) And see the picture of the paper roast, which is the massive dosa. It's like the ghee paper masala doda but hollow and larger. The shrimp masala fry is excellent too. This will be the most intense shrimp dish you will taste anywhere in the GTA. It's a common snack in seaside towns in south India and Sri Lanka. The curry is very strong and the spice level is intense. Both the pepper fry shrimp and chicken are explosive. These are authentic Chettinad dishes. The parottas (se pictures) are super fluffy and soft. From the payment counter, you can see the chefs make fresh batches regularly. These are expertly made. Anjappars does serve some non-Chettinad dishes, and the Malabar chciken is one example. I tried this and it was a decent rendition of a malabar dish. I've tried the south Indian coffee here (see the video), and it is authentic. The coffee is rich and the dairy essence is pleasant. This is much better than anything you will get at Starbucks. The taste and essence are unbeatable. This is how a coffee stall in south India, Singapore, or Malaysia would make it. This is also how homes in Tami lNadu and Kerala make it. All 3 Anjappar locations have a manager who is attentive, observant, and particiates in restaurant duties and they have oversight over quality. Whichever location you choose, you can be sure that you will get a quality dining experience. I have to remark on the furniture and the cutlery. They are always in tiptop shape. All serving dishes are spotless when they arrive. The tables themselves have copper cladding which is interesting and is stainless. I can't say the same about many of the downtown steakhouses where cutlery is scored and scratched all over and plates look used in-spite of washing. The manager at this location goes out of his way to make sure the guests are enjoying. Every time I dine here, at least 3 staff will come and check on my dining experience, which shows Anjappar cares about quality. This kind of attention to customer satisfaction is hard to find even at places like The Keg. Even at many downtown steakhouses, staff don't check on you more than twice during your visit. Remarkable. Many of the Toronto core restaurants should learn from Anjappars what quality food and service means. Anjappars focuses on quality food first, unlike many of the Toronto core popups that are more interested in being poppin on Instagram and their revenue than they are on their food. Bravo Anjappars
