I'm so disappointed. This is NOT the anchor bar. The anchor bar has large tender wings with a unique sauce. This site has small wholesale wings with a sauce you can get at any bar in Canada. Skip this bar go to the real ones in the US!

Been multiple times and I have to say the burgers are amazing and you must try for yourself. The fish and chips as well as the wings are great. The beer is cold and the staff is very friendly. A must stop if you are in the area.

The food including the fish and chips, hot wings and buffalo poutines were all worth the detour on our drive back to Chicago from Canada. The server was hospitable and accommodating. I would definitely recommend!

I'm kind of questioning myself now after reading the reviews. My experience with the Anchor Bar was great. I enjoyed my food. My server did not harass me non stop during my meal. The music was at a great level. Not sure what others had encountered but on my visit The Anchor Bar was firing on all cylinders.

"During my recent 2-day visit to Hamilton for the eclipse, I had the pleasure of dining at Anchor Bar, located conveniently below my hotel, a total of four times. Each visit was nothing short of exceptional. The food was outstanding, The staff at Anchor Bar deserve a special mention; their fast-paced yet professional service added to the overall excellent dining experience. I cannot recommend the Hammerburger enough, Whether you're a local or just passing through, Anchor Bar is Highly recommended!"

For a place that prides itself on wings, this was an embarrassment. My plate had a literal bone on it basically, should never had made it out of the kitchen. And the prices, wow. 20 bucks for a pound of wings? They better be jumbo and juicy for that price but I assure you they are not. 20 bucks for a soggy cheese pizza too...front of the house staff doing their best, but we told them we had somewhere to be when we sat down, with a FULL hour and the food came 10 minutes before showtime, wait no SOME of the food came. The decline of this place seems spectacular. What was once a trusted go to has easily become a never again.

Wings and calamari are always so tough to be good when out at a restaurant. Either over food, tasteless, rubbery. But not here. The calamari, I could have had 2 plates and the wings were perfect. Juicy and well seasoned. Definitely coming back.

This place has gone DOWNHILL and is nothing like the original location in NY state. The wings were dry and small for $19/lb. We ordered a large pizza cooked 'well done'. The pizza was literally inedible... we sent it back, TWICE! I have never done this in my entire life. There is no chance this pizza was cooked in the wood oven. The servers were trying, but seemed overwhelmed. The Patio was closed on a 24c beautiful sunny day. Whoever is running this place needs to be fired. Save your $ and go somewhere else. Brutal.
