Ammi's is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.

I ndo-Pak food is a diverse and delicious cuisine that reflects the cultural heritage of the Indian subcontinent. Aromatic spices and fresh herbs are used to create bold and complex flavors in dishes like biryani, butter chicken, and chana masala. Meat dishes are popular, but there are also plenty of vegetarian options like dal makhani and saag paneer. Street foods like chaat and pakoras, as well as desserts like kulfi and ras malai, add to the range of dishes available. Overall, Indo-Pak food is a vibrant and flavorful cuisine worth trying.

Now the restaurant is under a new Malayali management. previously its was a indo pak restaurant now its a proper Kerala restaurant We went for lunch and we had a masala tea and snacks as well it’s a combo for 2.99 cad . It was so good and delicious. Then we have ordered a chicken Biriyani which was 9.99 cad . Along with the biriyani you will be getting a lime pickle and raitha pickles with biriyani was amazing Kerala lunch box is 9.99 cad if you order through Uber eats buy one get one free

The butter chicken was tasty. There wasn’t any biriyani or nan available. The colossal carrot cake was barely an inch and a half.

I saw a previous review about their beef haleem and called the restaurant to confirm before ordering. They said it will have standard proportion of meat, on receiving the order it wasn't true. Totally agree with the review about their beef haleem. Biryani's are okay. The chicken biryani wasn't flavorful and veal biryani wasn't biryani at all. It had tomatoes and very oily. The only good part was the chicken samosa.

Extremely disappointed : Beef Haleem: no beef and lentils tasted and felt like oatmeal Rasmalai is a disgrace: dry patties in sugar syrup. No milk/cream.

ALL POSITIVE COMMENTS ARE FAKE AND PAID FOR. DONT BELIVE ME? ALL POSITIVE REVIEWERS HAVE ONLY REVIEWED THIS RESTURANT ONLY! The food is awful! No taste in the haleem just lentil and water. The kebob taste like cardboard, the naans were not cooks and tasted sweet. And biryani was bland - only ate the biryani because i was hungry but would neverrrrrerrre NEVERRRRRRR oder from them again. BE AWARE! THE POSITIVE COMMENTD ARE PAID PROMOTIONS!!!! DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM THEM!

Being a North India I am not a dosa kinda person. However I tried their dosa after friends recommendation. Very crispy, delicious masala dosa was served. To add stars very clean and quaint take-out place. The lady who served us was sweet and funny. Beside dosa we also got the chicken biryani, samosas, butter chicken and roasted garlic naan, best I have had so far!

New HALAL Indo-Pak restaurant in town! Take out only spot but the food is amazing! Tried a honey chilli garlic naan and it was so cool - a unique blend of sweet and savory. The veal Korma & butter chicken are must haves!

Saw this new restaurant on Tiktok. Drove there and checked it out. Take out restaurant. Has a few seats only. Not a family diner. Ammis means Mommy So it’s MaMa kitchen serving Indian & Pakistan food. Manager was on site. Went there outside of peak hours. So had more time to chat. Service : above average. Very attentive. Basically the manager explained half of the dishes on display. Must try: paratha similar to the Asian green onion pancake without green onion. High gluten flour pancake. Very nice I hope they would come up the lunch or dinner combo menu soon. I only buy single serving. So it does not make any sense for singles going there to buy takeout unless you need more than 1 serving Price is $$. I had the butter chicken, paratha and rice with mixed veggies (just like green giants veggie) Butter chicken is sweeter than other Indian places and less heat. It is nice. I actually prefer this sweetness and spiciness I don’t feel like needing to cool off after finished my meal. I would give it 4 to 4.5 star. If they can put English description next to each dish on the counter. It’s better for customers to understand. Emphasize boneless in the English description would help. After all I hope Ammis stays and excels. One more good local business Toronto badly needs. I will go back again because of the paratha.
