AMMACHI South Indian Restaurant Kerala Authentic cuisine

This place opened up right across the street from me so my boyfriend and I spontaneously decided to try it as we hear live music coming from it sometimes in the summer and it seemed like a good time. I got a Heineken and a dirty it up burger. The Heineken was a bit sweet - the kind of sweet you get when the lines are a bit dirty in the tap. Honestly not the worst though beer is beer to me, so I wasn’t bothered at all. The biggest disappointment was that though it took me a few bites to figure out - my burger was just a pepper and cheese omelette on a bun with bacon, tomato and lettuce. It was supposed to be a burger with a fried egg and bacon. The server was so sweet and nice and I’m completely non-confrontational so I didn’t say anything about it and enjoyed the fries - which were very good! I’m just a little disappointed that my burger came with absolutely no burger in it. (Disclaimer I ate the bacon off of the burger before my boyfriend decided to take a picture of it)

Came here tonight for a birthday dinner, after seeing so many positive posts about the restaurant on social media, and Google. The service was great! The waitress was very personable, and attentive. The food was delicious, as well. Excellent portions, and came out as we ordered it. Everything was prepared fresh as we ordered it. The atmosphere was nice in the restaurant. It was clean, and well organized. I will definitely be returning here!

The best food I have ever had! After a very stressful work day, my husband and I went for dinner to Upper Keg, we were just blown by the food and service. Huge portions, best quality and taste. Too many options to choose, which will definitely make you want to visit again. Super fun and friendly staff, and the chefs were very generous to come out and ask if we liked the food, and also offered us free dessert. It has become our favorite spot already, and we will definitely visit often.

The food was amazing, we had pan-fried Salmon and penne rose pasta, and they gave us a couple of cheesecakes as a gift since my wife is expecting. The prices are reasonable, our bill came to $30, Everything was beyond expectations, the food was delicious, service was outstanding and caring, and for sure we are coming back.

A hidden gem! I had no clue a bar like this existed in Oshawa till I was invited to go see comedy there, which they have every Monday. The place is bright, clean and open - it just has such a nice and comfortable ambiance! The staff is super welcoming and friendly. We had a nice chat with one of the bartenders, Kat. She's so sweet! The food there is very good as well. I've tried the Mozzarella Sticks and some chicken bites there. My friends had the Chicken Quesadilla and Upper Keg burger. It was all very delicious! Will definitely return and recommend to everyone!

Best restaurant in Oshawa by a long shot. I've reviewed many places in Oshawa but this restaurant deserves some recognition. If i could give it 6 stars I would. Very accommodating chefs/owners. They really put passion into what they are cooking and you can taste it. Discovered it from a friend, and have brought many of my friends of different cultural backgrounds and they all agree the food tastes fresh, flavorful and unique. Kudos!

A hidden 💎 gem. This was my first time here, never knew it existed. I came to use the ATM before going to breakfast elsewhere and was impressed. The decor is fresh, clean, minimalistic, good coffee, very attentive owners and waitress. I'm doing the paleo diet and asked them to hold the home fries and toast and they substituted for mushrooms, peppers and a half fried tomato 🍅. The steak 🥩 and eggs 🥚 were totally on point, cooked to perfection. A fair portion of fresh fruit was squeezed onto the plate to round out this inexpensive brekky. I'll definitely be coming back here again.

What a great spot! We just ate here for the first time and will definitely be going back! I had the traditional breakfast and it was perfect! The eggs were delicious, home fries were cooked perfectly, it came with fresh fruit as well! My fiancée had the ginger chicken salad and was very happy with it as well. Chicken was cooked perfectly, and dressing was full of flavor. We also shared a pancake after they said that is something that they do well and people love. Did not disappoint! I can honestly say that this was the best pancake I've ever had at a restaurant, maybe even ever... (sorry mom)... It was delicious! The staff was great, and the chef came out to check and see how we liked the food too. It's tucked in the corner of the plaza so make sure you do not miss it! You'll be happy you went!
