This sushi takeout place has been on my radar since they've opened. I'm glad I finally had the chance to try it earlier today when I was in the area. It definitely lived up to my expectations. Hamachi set consists of rolls, sashimi, and sushi. So fresh and fatty. The rice was perfect soft sticky seasoned well. The complimentary miso soup had fried tofu slices and enoki. I ordered straight on their website for pick up. Easy to order and pickup. The site had clear description and great photos so I know exactly what I'm ordering. Their menu is pretty extensive with lots of choices both cooked and raw fish. I cant believe this high quality of sushi is available for takeout. I cant wait to go back again to try their other menu items like the chirashi and kaisen don.

Definitely a “hole in the wall” establishment. Well priced, well portioned, well flavoured sushi stop. Had the hamachi/tai don. The fish was fresh for sure. But maybe not the most flavourful that I’ve had… but the overall presentation was good and the pairings (seaweed salad, pickled veg, edamame) were good. I felt there was a bit too much rice. Also comes with a miso soup that was soul warming The rolls were great. All the portions were huge. A great takeout option to hit a sushi craving that won’t break the bank.

Great lunch spot for sushi. Reasonably priced, generous portion of fish to rice ratio. And quick service, literally in and out in 10 minutes. Will be back to try their other options!

We visited the restaurant at 7 pm on a Friday to have salmon don, but unfortunately, they informed us that they had run out of salmon. Although it was a bit disappointing, we understood that such situations can occur, so we decided to order the tuna don instead. We also tried the tuna chipotle crunch tuna. The restaurant does offer takeout service, but it also has a charming two-seat bar against the wall, where we chose to sit. The seaweed salad, purple pickled vegetable, and edamame were all delicious. However, the tuna was quite sinewy, which was a bit of a letdown. They were supposed to be jalapeños on the chipotle crunch, but none were present. As we were halfway through our meal, another customer entered the restaurant and ordered salmon. This left us a bit confused, as we had been told just 15 minutes earlier that they had run out of salmon.

Delicious dons with generously sized cuts of fresh fish and well seasoned sushi rice. The miso soup is significant upgrade from your typical sushi restaurant. Genuinely incredible value for money!!

Got takeout from Ami-No for the second time, and I’m so impressed! The sushi is fresh, high quality, and delicious! Easily one of the best sushi spots around.

This place is a gem in downtown. The price is way more affordable but quality is excellent. I can feel the fish melted in my mouth. I ordered the kaisen don which is about $40 comparing to other place could be easily over $70!! -and this is the most expensive dish on the menu. Rest don is 20-25$ ish, again super affordable. The only downsize is the set up is for take out only as they dont have many spot to sit down.

This new store is truly a gem in the area. Prices are affordable, sushi rice tastes soft, and seasoning is at the right amount. Look how thick the salmon are, and the quality is better than we would get at grocery stores. My tray is $23.5, incl. tax. I'll come back to try other dishes. They don't have a seating area, only two seats to wait for the food.
