Ambiyan at Unionville has a rustic ambience. The restaurant feels pretty spacious, very small-town homely with gorgeous windows, old-timey Indian restaurant feel to the seating and patio area both. Food is decent but can be better. It is pretty bland. Maybe to tone the spices down for non-Indian taste buds? Or was it just one of those days? But it can be made more flavourful without making it spicy. Also, portion sizes are on the lesser side. Can certainly be improved. Service was pretty nice. Nothing outstanding and nothing to complaint about either. We ordered the following: - spinach tikki (favourite item here) - navratan korma (this was really bland. I had to add excess salt separately) - chicken korma (my friend had it and liked it just enough ti enjoy it, but not worth praising a lot) - muttar pulao (again, pretty saltless) - pudina paratha (this was more of pudina naan as you’ll see in photos, but I enjoyed it a lot! Really well made!)

Ordered take-out for the “Chef’s Special” sweet n spicy paneer. It came with 4 pieces of paneer and completely tasteless. Not worth the value at all - be aware of Ambiyan, quality has severely fallen off.

Absolutely amazing place to try!!! Great service have been here several times food quality is always good [we ordered chicken tikka, mango lassi, roti /sag paneer, Gobi pataka], only thing is this place is very noisy as it was crowded!!!

Been here several times and the quality is always consistent. Sometimes it’s hard to flag down a server (even when it’s not busy at all), but overall always a pleasant time. The garlic naan was pretty burnt but they replaced it no questions asked, which I really appreciated. Dining in seems to be better than doing takeout because when you do takeout, you don’t get as much sauce.

I was visiting friends recently, and we decided upon this place. As my first visit and not being from the area, I had no expectations, but that changed when we walked in. There is a nice outdoor patio which looked like a great option for a nice summer evening, but we chose to sit in the warm and inviting indoor space. The only caveat being that due to an ajar side door that particular evening, there were some pestering bugs around. The menu is extensive and we settled on some traditional dishes. Given a party of few, the selection included starters of Chicken Tikka, Paneer Pakora and Beef Samosa. The appetizers were pleasing and delectable, while the main course of Madras Fish Curry, Daal Makhani and Lamb Biryani were as traditional and as flavorful an Indian meal as one could find. The blend of spices and the consistency of the dishes was just right and we all felt very satisfied with the quality and service. Overall, we all felt very positive about the experience. Whether it is a causal meal with the family or something more special, this restaurant is a great choice for Indian food in the pleasant surroundings of downtown Unionville.

Food was great, they had halal meat. Menu servings were good too. It’s at Unionville , in a pretty ambience

Great atmosphere, good service. The food was mostly good, especially butter chicken. Beef and lamb were less successful, since they were a bit chewy. It felt overpriced, since the mains didn't include naan or rice, it has to be added. Drinks were a bit overpriced as well, probably due to the hot location of the restaurant. Free parking available nearby.

Coming to Ambiyan in winter may be a good choice if summer is too busy. Warm and tasty food, elegant vibe, quick response. We liked the volume. Lots of wine choices. Thank Anjan’s work. We had a wonderful dinner.
