Al's Famous Pizza

The pizza was burnt. Not sure what happened but seems the ownership has changed since a few years ago. Thought I'd give it a try again and got really burnt pizza. I make pizza all the time, even in a pizza oven it's hard to burn it that bad. They knew what they did, they should have made a new one. It was a waste of money, I don't recommend.

Our family just loves their pizza. My favorite is chicken and pineapple. My daughter likes how much meat, sauce ,and cheese in her stuff Panzerotti. The staff are friendly. Never had a problem with an order.

Bad service also rip off burn pizza they never washed there hand every time they cook also attitude customer service the short rip people off they pick topping from floor put into pizza caught twice . The cheese smells like socks that store should shut down asap .. previous manager was nice neat also pizza was cooked nice great customer service too. Never ever go there .. 0 service 0pizza 0 food

The pizza was recently really good between the last owner and the guy know. They have brought back someone who used to work there 2.5 years ago. He does not know how to cook. The pizzas and slices are half dough still when you go to eat. Get rid of the greasy white guy who just came back. Or I’m never going back.

Hands down the best pizza 🍕 of Bowmanville! It was incredibly delicious, no complaints. Service was terrific. Highly recommended. Don’t hesitate to try. Definitely a returning customer.

So I had the pizza here and I must say.. what an absolute rip off. It came to 46$ for a XL 3 topping pizza 2 dipping sauces and 2 drinks. And the pizza was so med level (at best) its crazy. The guys didn't even cut the pizza properly nor evenly nor thru the whole pizza. The toppings to their credit was pretty decent but the sauce bread and cheese were all below pizza pizza level. I wouldn't go back based on the price alone. But if you need more then I can tell you with confidence that their pizza is not even better than pizza pizza or little Ceasars.

Without question, art is subjective; however, there's simply no arguing against what is on display in the attached photos as anything but culinary art. From the classic design on the box (pizza box art IS art, I don't care!) that evokes memories of pizza parlours past to the literally picture-perfect pie inside (just look at the symmetrical topping placement!), it's obvious that the owners & employees at Al's care about the product they offer. Al's is "that" place: you know, the one you hear about if you're an out-of-towner; the "Mom & Pop"-shop that you boast about to any family/friends who have the misfortune of not living close to. Super-friendly staff, perfectly-seasoned sauce, mild yet flavourful pepperoni, generous (and delicious) cheese distribution that puts the chains to shame and light, fresh dough; this is my family's go-to pizza place and should be yours as well. It's always cooked golden-brown and delivered quickly & free of charge(!). Supporting local is always good; when the pizza is on THIS level, it's a downright no-brainer. (Hell yes! Thanks very much) this is my comments when I left a 5 star review years ago. Something major has changed with this place. The quality is not even close to what it used to be. The service isn't nearly as good either. That is heartbreaking because Al's was my absolute favorite and wouldn't order from anywhere else. However this is my last order. My pizza was really late and as well done as possible, almost burnt, which I did not ask for well done. The extra cheese must still be back at the store, when I lifted the box I could tell it was about half the weight it used to be. I guess all good things must come to an end. Good bye Al's pizza, it was awesome at one time but no longer worth ordering. Update... I made 1 more order to see if things are really this bad...and they are... We have moved down from 5 stars to 1... I would put zero stars if it was possible.. New owner has screwed up a once wonderful business... GET BENT!
