One of the better jerk chicken I've had in Toronto. The coco bread was so soft and tasted delicious, especially with the huge portions of jerk chicken. However, the patties were quite disappointing. As seen in the pics, the filling was too little on both the chicken and beef patties. The oxtail was quite good - just the right spice for me, but this could be mild to many. Though this was my first time trying oxtail, I think it was great. Will visit again, but only for the jerk chicken sandwiches and oxtail!

Good service and very clean restaurant. Ordered the small jerk chicken. Very filling boneless chicken with rice and peas. It tasted great, but it could be better if they added a side along with it. I honestly have had better jerk chicken lunch in scarborough. Will come back to try the oxtail as well. The only downside is that they only take cash in this digital age.

“I recently visited Alwin’s and tried their famous beef patties. They exceeded my expectations! The filling was incredibly flavorful, with just the right amount of spice and seasoning. The pastry was perfectly flaky and buttery, providing a delightful contrast to the rich beef filling. Each bite was a burst of deliciousness, making it hard to stop at just one. The patties were also generously sized, offering great value for the price. Alwin’s beef patties are definitely a must-try for anyone who appreciates quality and taste. I’ll be coming back for more!”

We got two items, the Jerk Chicken Sandwich and the Patty Coco Bread Slaw Sandwich. They were out of the spicy bun, so we had to go with the mild bun. The coco bread was soft and fluffy. The jerk chicken was well-seasoned, and the chicken wasn't dry. I liked the slaw, as it added a sweet and creamy crunch to the sandwich. The dine-in area of the restaurant isn't very appealing, with just a few tables and chairs. It's cash only, and the prices are friendly.

Place is still fire. Prices are still competative. The jerk chicken plate is juicy and good flavor. Patties are still very good although not the best in the city anymore. But still a top 5. Coleslaw is good. It's a good place. The goat Roti is also very respectable. The employees are always happy to see you.

portion - 3/5, taste - 4/5, presentation - 3.5/5 Ordered the jerk chick with peas and rice. It was very flavourful, filling and looked great. Chicken was cooked perfectly, sauce was very bold and has a perfect balance of heat, sweetness and spices. The coleslaw was sweet, creamy and perfectly blended with the chicken and the rice and peas. The only thing I would say is for the price ($15) it would be great to get more food, some more sauce in the rice and more coleslaw.
