A legendary institution for incredibly delicious Greek food has been desecrated and ruined by new owners who have no clue how to make a proper Gyro. This is so sad to see. Toronto has lost a legendary landmark for amazing Greek food and it is lamentable and deplorable… I miss the old school Alexandro’s ❤️

I had the chicken souvlaki dinner. The owner suggested I try the rice but I wanted fries. Chose to have both and was quite pleased. Will definitely be back again. Two thumbs up.

I was so excited to try this place tonight. We ordered two gyros off UberEats and when I tell you they were the most disgusting wraps I’ve ever received, that’s an understatement. The gyros were greasy, overcooked, and tasted like microwaved garbage. Not even close to authentic! Do yourselves a favour and NEVER order from here. Save yourselves the refund hassle. Yuck!

I was very curious about this place as it was bustling and busy last year when I was sitting in the area for lunch. I was totally disappointed with the quality and freshness of the food. I ordered a pork gyro on Greek fries. As you can see the pork was left over from the day before. Overcooked and super dry! Literally not edible at all. The fries at the bottom was regular McCain Costco fries sprinkled with some feta cheese. Nothing was authentic in this restaurant. There was nothing pleasant about this experience. I had to throw it out, you can't even swallow it.

The food was good. It takes some time to come through. If you come here I very well suggest getting the fries, it's crispy and just thick enough to taste amazing. I also recommend the gyro chicken if you like a little burnt chicken on the outside and nice meat on the inside. The place was nice, but they are renovating the restaurant so it doesn't look that good. I really liked this place, overall I would rate it a 9/10

Ordered an 12 dollar gyro to get a pita full of charred chicken with one thin slice of tomato and one lousy piece of onion. Went back and asked the lady to remake it, we explained the issue was that the pita was full or char and burnt chicken. Once she remade it, it was still full of charred and hard pieces of chicken. I think that they’ve come under new owners because this has been a local favourite for years. Very disappointing!

Horrible food! Far faaar from what I have previously eaten. Ordered the king gyro burger and cheese burger (since they had 1+1 offer on uber eats) - both had overcooked burnt meat on it. Tasted so stale and dry. Called them to address our concerns with the food (since it was delivered via uber eats)..and asked for either a credit or refund. They said to come into the restaurant at 10.30pm with the stale food (seems like they didn't believe we were telling the truth when we even offered to send pictures of the food. Also we got it delivered since it was -20 outside!). Never again.

We have visited Alexandros MANY times in the past. During taste of the Danforth we decided to go! Ordered the $10 gyro at taste of the Danforth. Waited for 45 mins and after I asked about our order 3 times, someone finally told me they accidentally gave it to someone else. Fine. I paid for an order of fries in order to have fries split up in our 4 gyros... There was 3 fries in each one ... The tomatoes were 2 not slices. More like slivers and the meat was very fatty. They ended up giving me a small order of fries after I complained but the cashier obviously wasn't happy about it. I'm assuming it's new owners. Very disappointing experience.
