Al'deewan (Manak'eesh) Bakery (LAWRENCE Scarborough)

Quality of the manakesh can sometimes be off. We used to always order Akawi but lately the cheese taste like a mix of other cheeses. On top of that, there has been a hike up in the prices. Akawi's are now 9.50! Tastes like an overpriced pizza. Very disappointing. We won't go anymore, and we used to be regulars. The servers are very nice though.

My go to place for manakeesh, service is also very nice. Atmosphere is okay, but the dine in area is a bit small so keep that in mind. Their daily specials are pretty good. Pricing is very reasonable and you get your value for money.

*Great Food, But Missing Some Old Favorites* Al'deewan has always been one of my favorite spots for a quick bite. The flavors are fantastic, and the service is usually top-notch. However, I noticed a couple of changes recently that, in my opinion, could be reconsidered to enhance the dining experience. For one, the pickles that used to accompany rocket shawarma are no longer offered. Losing them feels like something is missing from an otherwise great plate. Similarly, the beef rocket bread, which I’ve always loved for its unique touch of black sesame seeds, now feels a bit plain with it being replaced with white. That said, the food is still delicious, and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. But they say they have added pickles but I never see them added. I’m hoping these changes are temporary because small details like these made the experience truly special. I’ll definitely keep coming back but would love to see these favorites return with the order!

Please like and follow. Visited Al'deewan at a whim. Our surprise was big. The lady at the counter welcomed us with a smile that set up the tone for this experience. She was attentive, accommodating, and patient with us. We finally made up our minds A selection of different tasting baked food some to take home and others to consume in the restaurant of the bakery. Everything git prepared on the spot (on order) Quite impressive. BTW their menue is large and diversified for vegetarian and carnivores. Another impressive thing they have. The decore of the battery is very welcoming and happy, a mix from a traditional lebanese bakery and a current modern cafe. The food; lahmet aajen, and the cheese sandwishe tasted awesome and delicious. The dough crust was thin, which enhanced the taste of the cheese and meat I highly recommend this place.

unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. Firstly, the customer service was lacking. The staff member assisting me did not display a welcoming demeanor, which made the interaction uncomfortable. Additionally, there seemed to be a lack of respect toward the customer, which is crucial for any business. Moreover, I noticed serious cleanliness issues. The environment, particularly the garage, was not well-maintained. What concerned me most was the handling of food. I observed a staff member wiping their face and then touching food without changing gloves. This same glove was used for multiple tasks, including handling food and other items, without proper sanitation. These issues raise concerns about hygiene and overall service quality. I hope the management takes these points seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for future customers.

A perfect place to grab a quick manak’eesh. They have got several types of it and its very affordable. A quick grab or a perfect middle eastern meal. We had the chicken manak’eesh, beef manak’eesh and the zataar and cheese manak’eesh. None of them disappointed us and i bet they wont disappoint you as well. The service is fast and the staff there are really helpful in suggesting what to take. I personally would visit here more often. Value for money. They’re open late as well

Awesome place to start the day. Loved the assorted pies that are made fresh and hot 6 for $7. Absolutely delicious. The food prices are great and this place is open 24 hours. Only found the prices of drinks a little high. Purchased a $3 guava drink, which I found was taad too much. Highly recommend this place for fresh food.
