It is a great place to have a big meal. Ox tail and jerky chicken are brilliant. Portion is great. Tasty is wonderful. Food is warm and comfort. It definitely worth a visit especially during a cold day. This restaurant also has a small parking lot just outside. It is very easy to find the restaurant location and parking spot.

I’ve passed by this restaurant hundreds of times and never got around to actually trying them out, although I have heard good things about them many times. I got a craving for some Jamaican food and decided to finally try them out on a whim. Inside the restaurant was spacious and clean. There were just enough tables and chairs to acommodate up to 24 people. I asked for their signature jerk chicken lunch special with a can of soda which the total came out to $13.84 after tax, before tip. They take cash, debit and credit cards. The lunch special It came with two pieces of meat, three cups worth of rice and peas and a small cup of coleslaw salad. The chicken was somewhat stale and not seasoned well-enough with spices. Granted, I haven’t versed too much in Caribbean cuisine but I felt like their jerk chicken wasn’t smokey enough. The rice and peas were average. Nothing spectacular but palatable. Their coleslaw was pretty much void of any dressing and basically comprised of plain shredded cabbage and carrots. Overall, their jerk chicken lunch special is palatable and serviceable enough as a quick light lunch, but it was nothing extraordinary.

Felt a little over priced for what I got The food itself was ok, the rice and peas was a little over cooked and chicken could have been cut. If they’re only going to provide one piece of chicken. Didn’t feel like they were at their best, I’ve have better experience before.

Came to check out the legend Albert's real Jamaican food. The jerk chicken did not disappoint. I really enjoyed the portion size and the amount of meat you get. The jerk was really tasty and the rice and peas were spot on. Service was really good, friendly and to the point. The ambiance is a bit dated and I understand that they're going to be doing some upgrades shortly which will be nice as it is a large space and they can do a lot with it. This place is definitely on my go-to when I'm in the area and I would recommend it if you're in the Sinclair in Bathurst corridor.

Smashing IT! Been going strong since 1986. Jerk Chicken, Chicken Roti, and Beef Patty. Can't go wrong. I've been visiting this place since 1997. It's a gem. It's an icon in the neighbourhood. It's nice when the place is crowded. I love seeing like minded people come together for the joy and love of true authentic Jamaican food! Thank you ALBERT!

I was looking to find a soup on a Sunday night in luckily they had chicken soup because I wasn't feeling too good but damn didn't realize it was $16 for a large OMG. Price on the menu said it was only $12 for the size I bought guess it was updated I was kind of shocked when she told me the total price for two soups. It is a decent sized soup but not sure is it $16 worth. This place used to be reasonably priced in the food used to be a bit better I think they fell off a bit. Soup tasted good though quality ingredients wish it was a bit spicier but that's something can do on my own but you can tell this place caters towards white people LOL.
