Sashimi any day agree? Went to @akaoniizakaya to satisfy my cravings. Always loved their fresh sashimi and specialty roll. Of course you have to order a bottle of sake to pair it. Love their sake selections as well. Great environment. I personally like the Richmond Hill location more, but don't mind the Scarborough location at all. Both just as good. Any jap food lovers out there? LET'S EAT!

The authentic Japanese aesthetics inside and out set the right tone immediately upon entry. The sashimi was melt in your mouth flavourful and the Black Truffle and Lobster Tomalley was a highlight; recommend for one’s special occasion

Went in for their ramen, ordered miso butter and tonkotsu. Ramen broth was awesome, but egg was undercooked and tasteless, pork chasu was ok. The chicken skewers combo was delicious, love their gizzards and cartilage. However, the waitress was very pushy and keep asking us if we want to order more food, which is quite annoying tbh. Otherwise, food and atmosphere were great.

Finally got to try Aka-Oni - I could never secure a table at RH's location. I like their decor - the lanterns bring out the Japanese style, and the norens provided a bit of privacy at the booths. Initially, I thought this place was just popular for their ramen, but their sashimi stood out to me more - really fresh and delish. Might revisit just for their sushi/sashimi next time.

Some unique sushi - fois gras beef sushi with gold flakes? Delicious. Also quite fresh sashimi choices. Enjoyed salmon lover lunch set. Great for family/friends gathering.

Food was so fresh. We were new to the place and there was so much to choose from. Our server gave us time to look over the menu, recommended some items. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. Will definitely be back.

Both the food we ordered were really good! The staff were very nice and atmosphere was great. Will definitely come back to try their other food ᵕ̈ We also got free matcha ice cream!

Phenomenal experience. Food was great, some of the highest quality fish I've had. Presentation was excellent too. Service was very good as was the atmosphere.
