Ajisen Ramen Scarborough (Midland/McNicol)

I don’t think it’s Halal so correct me if I’m not right. But still tried the Spicy Chicken ramen, wasn’t up to my taste it had kind of a minty aftertaste in the broth/soup/mala which ruined my overall experience but the chicken teriyaki rice was pretty good in comparison. Loved the Potato Croquettes and also the curry fries was good.

The ramen was really tasty! The noodle texture was great and the soup was flavourful. The soups are customizable and there’s also vegan options. All the side dishes we ordered were great and the sweet potato fries were our favourite. Service was great! Would definitely come back.

This is one of the best ramen palaces GTA. Spicy Chicken ramen has a distinct but strong garlic flavour which is great. Washrooms are actually pretty clean. Service could be better.

Menu definitely has something for everyone. Normally we’d get ramen which can’t go wrong here. But this time we tried the rice bowls and we did not like them. The teriyaki bowl had a weird after taste, I couldn’t not finish the meal. We also ordered the pork katsu and the chicken karage and to safe to say we would never order these again. Pretty sure the curry that came with it went bad and they still served it to us….

There is nothing much negative to say about the place. There is a good variety of ramen dishes, rice curry dishes, and appetizers available to choose from. I was not able to confirm if they have dessert available. I did not see it in the front or back of the menu. The ramen and katsu curry dishes came out looking really appetizing, and the presentation was great. They could improve their service timings to time when the orders of the group come out together or at least not timed too far apart. We were a group of 4 people, each having a separate order. The orders we had were the Ajisen Spicy, Ajisen Gyudon, Pork Katsu Curry, and Beef Fried Rice. The first 3 orders came one after the other, but the Beef Fried Rice came out much, much later. It does not look well to have a single diner left out without having a dish yet in front of them. Ajisen Ramen also has the Mini Curry Rice item available in their menu. This dish is priced well and allows one to sample their curries. I just wish that there were at least a few meat chunks included in the dish. As it is, it is just rice lathered with curry gravy.

Went here with my friend who recommended this place to me. The waiter we got was very friendly and had our order taken fairly quick. We were told that it is an hour and a half max seating time. I had ordered Tom Yum with Steak while my friend ordered a Mini Curry Rice. Both were very good, and I also had ordered a Karage in a bun which tasted great. We also ended up getting a desert in the end, I would recommend the Matcha Cheesecake very delicious. Would go here again.

I ordered the Ajisen spicy ramen and it was for a reasonable price. The servers were quick and we did not have to wait long for the dishes. One of the waiters did spill the water, but other than that the service was good. The atmosphere is small and cozy.

You need to take the number and queue up. The male waiter on Sunday night is very friendly. The ramen tastes good. The fried chicken is too hard. I don‘t recommend it.
