Ajisen Ramen (North York) is a new restaurant in Toronto opened more than 6 months ago.
Ajisen Ramen was founded in Kumamoto, Japan in 1968 and is the largest ramen brand in the world. Over the years, the unique taste of our ramen allowed for global expansion to 700+ locations in over 15 countries such as Canada, Japan, Singapore, USA, Italy, China, and more. Despite our growth, we have stayed true to our roots. We continue to follow the same recipes that the founder used since 1968 to make every bowl with our hearts. Our name AJISEN means "a thousand flavours" and perfectly embodies our carefully crafted bowls of ramen.

The server directly threw the bowl on the table with a very bad attitude and didn’t refill the water. The rice was from the previous day, very hard, and clumped together. The amount of meat was only half of what other Ajisen Ramen restaurants serve.

During our visit, we indulged in two variations of ramen: the Black Garlic Broth Spicy Chicken Ramen and the Spicy Mayo Broth Spicy Chicken Ramen. The broths were the undeniable stars of the meal, each boasting a depth of flavor that perfectly balanced spice and richness. The black garlic broth delivered a smoky, umami punch, while the spicy mayo broth had a creamy yet fiery kick, leaving a lasting impression on the palate. However, the chicken in both dishes fell short of expectations. It lacked the tenderness that would have elevated the experience, leaning instead toward a slightly chewy texture. That said, I’m inclined to believe this was an off day for the kitchen, as the restaurant has a reputation for excellence, and the broths alone showcased their potential for culinary mastery. The ambiance was another highlight of the evening. We visited on a snowy evening, noses running from the chill, and found solace in the restaurant’s cozy interior. The warm lighting, comforting aromas, and welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect retreat for savoring a hot bowl of ramen. It’s the kind of place where you can unwind and feel truly at home while enjoying a hearty meal. While the staff appeared to be slightly understaffed during our visit, those who were working managed to deliver service with efficiency and a friendly attitude. Despite the busy evening, they ensured our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable, a testament to their dedication. In conclusion, the experience was memorable, with a few minor hiccups that I am confident do not reflect the usual standard of this establishment. The broth was a standout, the ambiance was delightful, and the staff did their best under pressure. I look forward to revisiting and perhaps finding the chicken as tender as the broth was flavorful.

Omg. Words cant explain how awfully disappointed i am with the service and food. Forget the service, the food is by far the worst thing about this place. FLAVOUR I ordered a tom yum ramen, extra spicy and instead i got 80% original broth flavour, 5% tomyum, and 15% chili oil. There was NO FLAVOUR OF TOM YUM. When i asked for the tom yum paste to give it flavour i was told they are not allowed to. However, if you go to their other locations, they give it to you. Ramen was flavourless and i was so upset spending my hard earned money on such a meal. PORTION Mind you I paid twenty dollars for a bowl of ramen that was 1/3 filled. This ramen place is ROBBING YOU of your money. None of their other locations is as greedy as they are with their portion sizes. Please save your money and visit other ramen places around the area.

Really really good ramen! Definitely on my list of great ramen spots in the city. You can choose the broth for any of the ramen types. I had the kaarage chicken ramen with the tom yum base. The broth was rich and delicious. Will be back for another in the near future!

Hey friends, It was my first time trying ramen 🍜 and it was amazingly delicious 🤤 too good to be true ❣️ We ordered like a variety of them 1. Spicy chicken 2. Karaage original 3. Pork katsu 4. Beyond meat All with diff broths of our choice. But the only mistake that i did for my spicy chicken was i chose the spicy mala broth which had a really weird after taste wich i personally didnt like it all, it was infact spoiling the whole ramen taste. I did abit of my own research and the spicy mala (chillies/numbling) is suppose to have some sort of Sichuan pepper becoz of which i had that weird after taste. So next time i go try again im definitely not going to take that broth 🙃 Overall a great experience with good service and ambience for dinner or lunch.

The spicy Ajisen noodle has always been my favourite dish. The place was not busy although it was lunch time, maybe because the portion could be more generous and the price could be lower?

It was my first time trying the Tom Yum ramen. It was so good if you’re a fan of spicy food! I didn’t want to eat any meat at that moment, so I got the vegan harvest. Actually, it was quite expensive. Just some corn, broccoli, and kikurage cost me $18.99. 🤑 But the tom yum broth was really good and paired perfectly with the ramen. It was spicy but also so flavorful. My hubby also ordered the tom yum ramen with grilled shrimp. The shrimps were okay and he liked the broth more.

Prices have gone way up but the portions have gotten wayy smaller. You don't even get enough soup for the noodles if you order extra noodles like I did. The manager always seems grumpy. Only saving grace is the food is still really good except it's crazy expensive for the portions you get. They also removed our favorite side dish the chicken cartilage 🥲.
