AiTaiker Taiwanese Fried Chicken

Got the Taiwanese fried chicken with hot chilli, a side of fries, and a drink. Chicken was very flavourful and fries were crispy. Overall, awesome meal.

Need to give kudos to the guy working for skipping the tip option - would come back for that alone since it’s mostly a self-service/takeout spot. We came here for some extra munching after dinner because I was craving something fried. The popcorn chicken was nice and hot, with some crispy ends and some of the signature powdery texture that I love about Taiwanese fried chicken. Only feedback was for maybe some more seasoning and if it could be slightly crispier (some of the pieces at the bottom were stuck together so weren’t coated entirely). Would come back for a quick bite - good bang for buck. Popcorn chicken ($8.49)

Authentic, nostalgic taiwanese fry chicken. Reasonable price, freshly fried to perfection, so obviously it takes a bit longer to make. The place is a bit smoky as you can imagine, so you might smell like fry chicken when you come out, but that just makes it more authentic!

First of all, I have to mention that when I came there it was a one-man team and a lot of people linkng up but he still served everyone well!! The chicken was so huge and was really tasty, very good for the buck as it can pass as two or three meals!!! Plus, they serve taiwanese sausage in this location, something I’ve been craving for ever since I moved here!

So good. Got the platter which came with fried chicken, and calamari. The order took a while to cook, so what I did was take a walk around the block. Friendly staff and enough seating. There's also an outdoor patio.

Tried the popcorn chicken bento lunch special. The food was pretty good overall. Good portion of chicken, and the teacup egg was pretty good. Definitely recommend getting the special as it has good value. One thing that I didn't really like is that the advertisement shows broccoli in the picture, but really what you get is corn and preserved vegetables. Preparing the food also took quite a long time so not really a good fast option. 5% cash discount

Tldr; fried food heaven! Tasty seasoning, made fresh to order. Family friendly and would return again. It was our first time having AiTaiker, but we all knew what we wanted. My husband wanted the chicken sandwich (made non-spicy), our daughter wanted the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, and I wanted to try the fish cakes. Upon ordering, I asked the staff what was highly recommended/popular with the crowds, and he mentioned the fried squid tentacles, so we got that as well! We ended up getting two combos for the volcano cheese chicken and the sandwich, which came with fries and drink. I didn't think the squid tentacles would be that tasty, but they were, and I enjoyed them more than the fish cake. The fish cake were cut thin, and I like big bites, so maybe I can request it the next time to keep them bigger. My 5yo daughter ate most of the popcorn chicken, I thought it might be a bit spicy for her, but she gobbled it up. Overall, we had a good experience, except when another customer was smoking at the door and the smoke blew in.

I recently enjoyed a meal at AiTaiker and it was fantastic! I tried the crunchy chicken combo and the fried squid, and I have to say, the squid was truly phenomenal. It was perfectly cooked and deliciously seasoned, making it a standout dish. The chicken sandwich was good as well, providing a satisfying and crunchy bite. Overall, I had a very positive experience and will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal!
