We found Afraa Restaurant on a busy evening and decided to try it because of its high ratings on Google—and we’re glad we did! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The staff were friendly and nice. They gave us two free bowls of soup and fresh bread with cottage cheese to start which was lovely. We ordered Ghormeh Sabzi and Fried Chicken. The foods were delicious and The portions were very generous—one dish was enough for both of us, and we took the leftovers home. There was a free hot and sweet bar and we enjoyed the tea and cookies. The only thing we didn’t love was the type of rice served. I understand it helps keep prices low, but I’d gladly pay a bit more for Iranian rice to match the dish better. There was a 10% dine-in service charge, but it felt fair because the service was so good and organized.

I’ve been looking for a top quality Persian restaurant and this is it! From the moment I called to make a reservation, the service was EXCEPTIONAL. The decor was cozy and earthy which I loved, and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I could tell there use high quality ingredients. The lamb shank was not overcooked, it was perfectly tender and not too chewy. The kebabs were very flavourful and juicy. The rice was cooked to PERFECTION! It was fluffy and non-greasy. We ordered takeout as well and I was so impressed they used paper bags instead of plastic and aluminum containers instead of styrofoam or black plastic. All these touches reflected this restaurant’s care for high quality and sustainability. Keep up the excellent quality! It makes a difference!

What can I say!! The food at Afraa restaurant is absolutely delicious. We were invited to a Christmas party with delicious and indulgent food at this restaurant (no exaggeration). I enjoyed every bite and everything was so delicious that you can't try everything. 10 out of 10 for every aspect of this meal and for good service that makes you feel good. I can't wait to go back and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a good restaurant in North York. I only write reviews if necessary and I really like to write about the good things of the staff and the atmosphere there like a book.

The Best Persian Restaurant in Town This restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a beautiful and cozy environment that feels warm and inviting. The decor is stunning, and the atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to make you feel at home. One of the most charming touches is the welcoming appetizer of noon panir sabzi—a classic Persian treat. They also have a table stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and delicious cookies, all complimentary for guests to enjoy. But let’s talk about the food, which is nothing short of heavenly. I’ve tried their jooje kabab, gardan, and koobide—each one was absolutely perfect, cooked to perfection with authentic flavors. Their shallot yogurt is unlike anything I’ve ever had in Canada—so creamy and flavorful, it’s a must-try! Every meal also comes with a delicious soup and drink, adding even more value to the experience. To top it all off, their prices are surprisingly affordable, making this place an unbeatable choice. I’m confident that anyone who tries it will quickly make it their go-to spot. This is, without a doubt, the best Persian restaurant in town. Everyone should try it at least once—you’ll be hooked!

A new restaurant with a warm and inviting design, and the service was incredibly professional and pleasant. The food was absolutely fantastic! The kabab barg was tender and full of flavor, and the shishlik was unlike any other I've tried. The portions were very generous, and the side dishes were fresh and complete. They also serve a delicious complimentary soup before the meal and include a drink, making it a perfect service package. You can enjoy fresh bread baked right there, and after your meal, you can savor some tea and delicious baklava. I highly recommend visiting! They offer a variety of other dishes that I’m eager to try on my next visit. Wishing success to this family-owned business!
