Afghan Kebob Cuisine & Catering Services

I have been through many Afghani restaurants in the city and I most admit Afghan Kebad is one of my favorite and my favorite hands down in the north west part of TO. Try their Mantu, you won’t be disappointed. The food is fresh and testy. The meat is well marinated. I had to add them in my contacts, they are my go to for takeout.

I’ve gotten delivery and catering from here a few times and they are SO good! Best chapli kabob in Canada. Everyone at my party asked me where I got the food from because it was so fresh, delicious and authentic. Bamiyan and naan kabob are a joke compared to these guys. Even my picky eating 2.5 year old daughter loves their food and we are not even Afghan. She’s currently eating the chicken and rice, rubbing her tummy and saying “mmm yummy!” 😅 Last time my catering order’s etransfer got lost in the mail and they still managed to come through with just a few hours notice! Absolutely delicious.

Food Quality: The taste of the meat was good, and the naan had an authentic Afghan touch, but the portion size was disappointing. For the price, we expected more than 4 small chunks of meat in either main courses, and half of lamb were mostly bones. While the tenderness of the meat was commendable, it didn't justify the overall value. Service: The service was basic. Nothing exceptional, just what you'd expect, but nothing stood out as particularly welcoming or attentive - that would make me return. Value for Money: Very expensive for what we received. When you pay a higher price, you expect a decent portion, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. Given the portion size and quality, it felt overpriced. Ambiance: Subpar ambiance with bad lighting and cleanliness. It didn’t feel inviting, and the overall setting left much to be desired in terms of comfort and atmosphere. Overall Experience: While the meat was tender and the naan had a nice Afghan touch, the experience was underwhelming. The small portions, especially with so many bones, left us disappointed. Also, from what I saw in the leftover section, it seemed no one was finishing their rice, which raises a red flag. Not likely to return.

First thing first the food was good. We took Chapti kabab( The dinner). The rice was regular. Like the taste of the kabab. Those 2 sauces were good( like the red one) and salad was pretty fresh but the best thing I loved the dressing on the top of the salad. Overall 8 out of 10. The owner challenged me about the taste and i told him i will gave him a honest review and here it is.

One of the best Afghan Kebob in TO. Been my fave since back when we were located at Islington/401 for our lunch fare. Everything is just cooked and grilled right. Salad also taste delicious compare to other similar Afghan salads. Price-wise, affordable and they still have their lunch specials which are priced at $10.99+tax. Today, ate the Sultani Kebob and it didn’t disappoint my cravings. All in all, highly recommended when your nearby Islington and Highway 401.

I ordered the Chicken Kebob Dinner. - The rice had great flavours - The chicken was not very flavourful. However, you could tell the quality if chicken was good - The garlic sauce was subpar, however in combination with the naan, it is very good - The salad is very lacking in flavour and size - The naan on it's own is big but not flavourful - Pricing was reasonable for the size of the meal. Nothing to keep you going but enough not to scare you away All in all, I would try this location again, however will getting a different dish

Oh what a gem this place is for meat 🍖 and their naan bread is so fresh. It's quite simple to order... choose meat type then choose either naan with salad or the rice dinner. The rice has raisins which at first I was unsure about until I tasted it 😋 and now it's my favourite. I suggest the lamb shank. Love this place.

Tasty, fairly healthy and well priced! Fresh delicious food that perfect for dining in or to go! They even put the salad separately if you get it to go so it doesn't get soggy lunch time special is good value! (12pm to 3:30pm)
