We visited this place for a special family dinner to celebrate my parents’ birthday and the end of the year. Since my parents rarely get to try this type of cuisine, we thought it would be a unique treat. The restaurant has a spacious dining room with a distinct Latin vibe, featuring thoughtful decor and accents that blend well with the atmosphere. The menu itself looked promising at first glance, but unfortunately, the dimly lit booth made it difficult for my parents to read it. We opted for a selection of shareable dishes rather than main entrées, focusing on items with toppings or ingredients less common elsewhere. Our order included Tableside Guacamole, Scallop Esquites, Pork Carnitas, Crispy Fish, Tacos De Camarón, Quesabirria, and Churros for dessert. While the focus here is clearly on atmosphere and experience rather than high-quality Mexican cuisine, it is worth noting a few highlights. The Tableside Guacamole presentation was fun, and the server preparing it had a great sense of humor. The Scallop Esquites had a nice Latin kick, with flavors and aromas that stood out. The Tacos De Camarón, featuring shrimp instead of the typical fish, were the standout dish for me. The combination of avocado, pico de gallo, and serrano created a rich and balanced flavor profile. That said, the churros were disappointing, greasy, and heavier than the ones I am used to. However, these were minor issues, as I was mainly there to enjoy the evening with my family. The real problem lay with the service. Our server’s passive attitude set the tone from the start. When we asked if there were any special perks for a birthday celebration, the server promised to check but never followed up. Toward the end, she casually asked if the birthday person had a good time, almost as an afterthought. The server’s robotic demeanor, briefly asking if everything was fine before disappearing, and the rushed way she ended her shift by dropping the check with no explanation were off-putting. Worse, when we wanted to pay, it took over 10 minutes for them to return with the receipt. In contrast, the person who appeared to be a manager checked in on us throughout the evening, answered questions patiently, and handled the busy environment with professionalism and a smile. If I could, I would say the tip we left was for her than for our actual server. It is disappointing that such a lovely evening with family was overshadowed by a lackluster service experience. I have met baristas who can brighten your day with a simple interaction over a $3 coffee. In contrast, this 45-minute dinner felt far from enjoyable, and the service was the main culprit.

Came here with some girlfriends and had a really good time. We ordered the guac to share (which came with chips and was prepared in a bowl at our table in front of us) and also ordered quesabirria’s with sour cream on the side. It was a little pricey for 3 tacos but the vibes were there, we had good service, and overall was well worth it. Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere.

It was the best post birthday celebration with my sister. The food was superb! I love the vibe and atmosphere. Very elegant. They are very accomodating and great service. Armando made sure we are enjoying and doing well. He checks us out all the time. Love the candle blowing and tequila shot. Thanks Armando for your service! We’ll definitely come back! 🫶🏼

Beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. Ordered 3 different types of their basic taco as well as their duck taco. I appreciated that there was a lot of meat for each taco but they were pretty bland tasting- especially the pork didn't have any flavor. The crispy fish has some seasoning on the batter and paired well with the seasoned mayo on the table. The free birthday churro was very tasty ♡ Wish I tried the guacamole as I saw a lot of other tables ordered it.

Came here for brunch and the food was very interesting and presented in unique ways. Each dish was nicely prepared and the server even explained how a few things work with some table side theatrics. The only issue I had was the food being too salty. It’s a worthy choice in a mall with varied selection.

Nice decor and great vibe! I had the vegetarian mushroom taco and churro, and both were delicious. The taco was $4 during happy hour—great value for the flavor. The space was cozy, and the staff were super friendly. Definitely recommend!

Came here for lunch with some friends. The place inside was amazing and we were seated on time. Service was really good. The food here is great. Table side guacamole And the tacos were amazing My only comment would be that the seasoning is a bit tame and very toned down. So really good for people that want Mexican food with 80% less seasoning and spices. I had to add some table side sauces to my tacos.

This was our first time dining. We came with a small group of 6 for a couples night out. Parking was easy — some of us found spots in the parking garage, and some in front of Metro. Either way, it was a nice stroll through the ‘Shops’ with lots going on all around. We were seated on the covered patio/sunroom, which was really comfortable and had just as much charm and fun decor as the inside dining room. Our waitress was kind and bubbly. She was able to take our orders in an organized manner, and at the end she was able to split our appetizers and shared items very easily. Some of our party wished that she had attended to us a bit more, as we had to wait long for water refills, and asked/looked for her quite a few times. We had a couple of other servers/kitchen staff assisting us at times and we weren’t sure if this was typical or she had left her shift at some point during our visit. The food was impressive! The only thing is say was the portion sizes of appetizers weren’t large enough. We were left just under satisfied with the amount of food in the apps we ordered, however, the tortilla chips are ‘bottomless’ so that made up for it I suppose! **if you’re into sauces with a kick, you NEED to try that Spicy Mayo they have at the tables, EXCELLENT!** Atmosphere was great. Decor and furniture were attractive and fit the theme very well. One downfall was the trip downstairs to the bathroom. Although there were nicely decorated stairwell and an elevator for accessibility, it was just a bit of a bother to travel all the way downstairs. Overall, great time and we all agreed it was a place to visit again to try more menu items!
