I’ve been coming to Adda for 5 years and 90% of the times, their food has been impressive. Today was an exception with their new addition “Beef Chap.” It is actually a T bone steak cooked way over well done. As a result, it became hard to a point that I had to fight with the meat. This is probably a deep fried “Steak Kebab.” It is not too difficult to make it a beef chap. Just cut down the meat from the bone, flat it down with a kitchen smasher and then fry it. Please do not serve this thick piece of hard meat anymore. It does not resonate with the quality of this restaurant. I hope the chef will take it as a constructive critique. PS. The spices on the meat was amazing.

Last Sunday morning, six of us had breakfast at Adda on Danforth, and it was a truly memorable experience(tried lunch and dinner before). The food was delicious and tasted just like back home, with flavors that brought back so many comforting memories. Our server, Saifa, was incredibly helpful and handled a small mix-up with our paratha order gracefully. To make up for it, she offered us complimentary luchi, which was a very nice gesture, and absolutely delicious. Her warm and attentive service really stood out and made us feel valued. With authentic food, a cozy atmosphere, and outstanding customer care, Adda is a gem. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a taste of home!

It's unfortunate that we encountered hair in our beef curry today. I left a glowing review for their ajax location and it hurts me that I'm writing this. But attention to detail is an absolute must and any negligence should not be tolerated. Also, they don't have proper heating and was using those portable heaters. I understand running a business is hard (I run a branch myself) but should seek assistance from the community. We have several people from Bangladeshi community here working in HVAC.

First time I visited here today for lunch. We started with shrimp cutlet, chotpoti, and daal puri. The shrimp cutlet was average in taste, I was expecting it to be a bit more flavourful. Chotpoti was good. Daal puri was a little dry. We liked all of them, but it wasn't exceptional taste that I was expecting from reading the previous reviews. Then, in the main, we ordered Illish and pomfret fish curry, which was good, but I requested them to make it spicy, but it was not very spicy. So if someone is looking for really hot, then explain it accordingly. The ambiance was good, and I personally feel i was missing thali there where I could get a small portion of daal or a bhaaji or a sabji, but they do not have any platter like that. Overall experience is good.

This restaurant is a must go place for me whenever I visit GTA; it’s like a ritual food destination. Always try the kacchi biriyani; this time tried the Beef chaap with lucchi. Beef and Mutton kacchi biriyani both delicious; but I prefer the Beef one more. They have a bhorta plater as well, you can try. One thing for the first timer; the price will be expensive for sure compared to other Bangladeshi restaurants but here is you are getting what are paying for.

I visited this restaurant for the second time, hoping to give it another chance, but unfortunately, it failed to meet my expectations again. The first time, my sister had severe stomach pain after eating here, which was alarming. We’re food enthusiasts who love exploring different restaurants, but this place disappointed us both in terms of health and taste. Taste wise, there’s nothing authentic about the food. Everything is overwhelmingly sweet, chicken roast, porota, and every dish we tried lacked the spice and bold flavors you’d expect from Bangladeshi cuisine. Hoping for something better, I ordered borthas again, but even those couldn’t save the experience. When I asked the server why the food was so sweet, she said, “That’s how it’s made.” I pointed out that a restaurant should offer a variety of flavors, including spicy options, but both the lady and the boy serving us confirmed they had none. The prices were outrageously high for such bland, flavorless food. It was shocking to see this is how they choose to represent Bangladeshi cuisine. Overall, an utterly disappointing experience. Definitely not worth the visit!

First time eating here and was very pleased. For appetizers we took dalpuri, shrimp cutlet, chicken samosas and moghlai parotha. Main course: biye barir roast, murgir alu jhol - with pulao and mutton kachi biryani. Kachi was huge in quanity with so much mutton pieces. I also ordered promfret do-pyaza for take away. Loved the food. Service was also good. Overall just found another comfort food, home like food place. The murgir jhol was exactly like home made. Everything was so good. Just loved it.

I recently dined at ADDA Bengali Kitchen & Catering and was absolutely blown away by the experience. The highlight of my visit was the Biryani, which was an exquisite blend of flavors that truly represented the essence of Bengali cuisine. The rice was perfectly cooked, infused with aromatic spices, and accompanied by tender, flavorful pieces of meat. The authenticity of the dish was unmatched, transporting me straight to the streets of Bengal with every bite. The ambiance of the restaurant, coupled with the attentive and knowledgeable staff, added to the overall extraordinary experience. ADDA is a must-visit for anyone seeking to indulge in authentic Bengali flavors. Highly recommended!
