Aburiyaki Sushi

I ordered on DoorDash. This was the worse quality sushi I ever had in my entire life. I got the salmon lovers with 20 pieces. All the spicy salmon only had tempura in it. Hard rice. Do not order from here.

We were very disappointed with the Aburi Sushi Deluxe. The sushi pieces were poorly constructed, with loose packaging, and the rice was hard and lacking in flavor. The fish was also tasteless. To make matters worse, the rice portion was surprisingly small, especially considering the $21 price tag. The photos advertised were certainly misleading. While they do offer a wide variety of sushi options, there are better budget-friendly alternatives that serve higher-quality sushi. As expected from a food court sushi place, the overall experience was underwhelming. Located in the World on Yonge food court, this place can get crowded during peak weekend hours, making it challenging to find seating. The parking options include short-term ground-level parking and garage parking. However, be aware that the garage can fill up quickly, especially with shoppers visiting the adjacent grocery store.

Very disappointed with my sushi today! I ate three with bad taste, but I didn’t figure out the reason, because all my attention is on the phone. See, dark avocado…smell of mold.

I would say this place is really good value for the price, but I think the quality has went down a little in the past year. The platter sets with the torched sushi are still the highlight of their menu.

We ordered through SkiptheDishes for two people. We ordered: Sushi A (24 pcs) - $33 Aburi Sushi Deluxe (14 pcs) - $19 These are the prices on their website. On Skip, it was $70 before tax. That is a 35% markup from their prices in store! That is completely a rip-off. I know that Aburiyaki Sushi is known for its cheap party trays so this was a shock to me. I understand adding a bit extra to cover the costs of the third party delivery app, but putting the 35% charge in the customer's pocket is not understandable. I definitely will not be ordering through Skip again - maybe I'll make the trek into the store but it's unlikely, as the plaza that the restaurant resides in is a nightmare to get in and out of. Also, these two items together were just enough for two people. It's not like we overordered which is causing the high prices. We were able to finish every single thing we ordered, plus the free 5 spring rolls that come with each Skip order. The sushi was good though, I did enjoy both the sushi and torched sushi. The variety was good and the portion of rice to fish was pleasant.

We ordered the large roll tray and it was honestly such a great deal for the price! The value was amazing, the portions were massive, and the rolls were tasty. The only thing is we weren’t too impressed by the torched sushi (it was a little dry and we didn’t find it to be anything special). However, we loved all the other rolls. We would highly recommend!

The best sushi with awesome prices, I always get the large trays as the value is so good. I love the variety of rolls they include, & the torched sushi is better than other places I’ve tried. Service is also always extremely fast, with 10-15 minutes minutes being the max you will be waiting for an order. Cute mall to sit down in as well!

Tried the pressed sushi from this place after seeing it pop up on some of the Instagram feeds of some foodies I follow. The service was so fast but the sushi was mediocre at best. The rice wasn't flavourful, it was crumbly and fell apart. The ratio of sushi to rice was also off, in that there was a lot of rice. The fish itself was also mediocre, not much flavour. Each set comes with 7 pieces. We had the pressed salmon, unagi, Saba and white tuna. It's Korean owned and serves Korean food so it's not the most authentic Japanese aburi style sushi. But considering this is a food court style take out place, I'm not surprised at the lack of quality.
