TL;DR: the franchise owners or upper management seem to be cheaping out and short staffing this restaurant, not fixing the free wifi for at least a month (starting coming here a month ago), and the staff are going above and beyond with overcompensating. The service is excellent, the staff are well trained and always go the extra mile, even to make sure my tea bag tag is tucked into the coffee sleeve so it doesn’t dangle or get caught, the staff are recognizing me as a regular and it makes me feel nice and their attention to detail is what is keeping me coming back. I typically go here for my lunch at work. I go at random times and the service is always the same, it’s excellent, efficient, and all the staff seem to have been trained equally and are all good at what they do! During more busy hours, I believe there should be more than 2 staff. Delegating tasks and keeping the restaurant clean should not fall on the shoulders of the cook and cashier alone, it’s a fast food restaurant, not a small business café, and the number of employees should reflect that, especially in a busy area like Gerrard and Broadview. As such, the staff should be paid more or given more coworkers on shift because I regularly witness them perform the jobs of 2+ people, and that is neither fair nor fairly compensated. It is simply too busy of a location to only have two employees on the clock during lunch and dinner rushes. The wifi at this establishment has also not worked for at least a month. Luckily there’s a library across the street, but it’s false advertising to claim free wifi and do nothing about it when it breaks down. It’s either a way to save money or a way to deter clients from sitting in the shop, but either way, it’s really annoying because I’ve had to fully walk back to work in order to transfer money into my chequing because I forgot, and usually I can rely on these chain establishments to have wifi so I can pay for my food/drink. I think if the general managers/owners of the franchise put in as much attention to detail that the front of house workers do, it would be a much better experience. The ones making all the profit off of my dollar seem to be putting in much less work than the minimum wage/lower paid front of house workers. It’s 4 stars until I see improvements, but overall a nice experience.

This place is horrible. I asked for 2 cream 1 sugar and I believe it was 1 Cream 1 Sugar. I didnt go back to complain. I went there again after like 2 hours and I asked the guy named Perth/Parth for the spoon and I just gave him suggestion that the coffee wasnt like 2 cream One sugar since I hav had the coffee in the morning from A&W in the moning. The guy’s attitude was like GO TO HELL. He was Customers like it. I dnt care if you didnt. I literally threw that coffee and couldnt drink it. I do not want to complain but I feel like when these students are hired they are doing multiple jobs and thats the reason they are always tired and not in the good mood. I would never go back to this place and would suggest people not to go there. I wish I could give this place zero star. The guy didnt understand my point what I was complaining about. I have had the same coffee but from different A&W in the morning and I usually drink coffee fron A&w and its not like I got today from this location. No apologies. He was actually being very rude and didnt even give me the spoon.

An amazing resturant with great food and excellent customer service. Super friendly employees especially Mysha who has always been professional and helpful! She definitely has the ability to brighten up the day with her smile! Keep up the good work team!

I've lived in the area for 1.5 years and stop here at least once a month on the way home usually later in the night. The food at this location is always hot and fresh, and the staff are super friendly no matter what time it is. As basic as it may sound, possibly the best onion rings in the city. Great job.

Terrible customer service. I asked for root beer float instead of explaining that they don’t have it. The cashier proceed to speak to me like I’m an idiot. The root beer taste fine. Just no effort on customer service what so ever

Wednesday 6:30 PM bacon n egger + chicken bacon wrap 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. The bacon and Egger was fresh and hot ! ; the cheese was melting, juices dripping lol 🤤

A&W, unlike other fast food chains, has a different flair to their burgers. Comes close to a burger perfection as one can get with a symphony of textures and flavors from its real cheddar cheese and fresh ingredients. Their onion rings are bomb along with the fan favorite, the root beer float.
