First time trying this place. The food quality and presentation were really good. We had the antipasto which was very good, it had variety of items, meats, cheeses, veg etc. For mains we tried the salmon and the strip loin steak. Both very good. Servers were attentive, personable and professional. All in all very good value if you are looking for an upscale meal.

When we moved to Durham from uptown Toronto 10 years ago we looked for a local restaurant that could compare with the places we had been spoiled with near our old home. The first place we went to was A Tavola. We were wonderfully pleased with how incredible the food was. Ten years and multiple dinners later, A Tavola is still one of our favourite restaurants. The food is spectacular, the staff kind and accommodating and the atmosphere warm and pleasant. Thank you for continuing to provide such an incredible experience.

We were a party of 7 and they accommodated us last minute and with genuine appreciation. All our meals were delicious! We are all frequent travellers and can honestly say that we compared our meals to Italy’s best. It was amazing. The pasta is hand made in house and the ingredients were authentic. We will absolutely be back and spread the word of this little gem.

The food and service quality was truly exceptional, my husband and I can't wait to come back. The seafood platter was chefs kiss. This was one of the best Italian food in the GTA. Truly a hidden gem.

What a fantastic experience! I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem on a corner in Whitby. The atmosphere was perfect. The music and the low lighting really added to the romantic ambiance of the experience. Our server was fantastic and was very attentive to all our specific diet needs. And the food was DELICIOUS. Truly the best Italian food I’ve had in a while. I recommend this place for all special events, intimate gatherings or just a date night out. Will definitely be going again.

A Tavola Bistro is really a hidden gem!!! To start, the service is excellent! So friendly, so quick, kind and attentive! Our server Erin was so sweet and thoughtful! The food came very fast and was incredibly delicious and fresh tasting! Not a single thing to complain about! The ambiance was perfect for our date night. 100% will be back to this outstanding restaurant and highly recommend others give it a try if you like fresh, handmade pasta and Italian food! (In the picture: Caesar salad with grilled chicken, the meatball tapas, and the orecchiette pasta)
