It's such a great, fun little pub. Tasty safe gluten-free pub food. I can't tell how great it was to be able to enjoy pub food with others. The staff were fun and attentive. They really looked happy to be working. I was there during live music, and the artist played off the crowd. I will be going again for sure.

Spent a lot of time there over a weekend. Food was always excellent and plentiful, and definitely consider finishing your meal with the sticky toffee pudding! The staff was extremely sweet, fun and attentive. Wish we got the server's name, she treated us like regulars almost from the start. The patio was busy in lovely weather but service was wonderful. A fun little spot!

What an incredible experience we had tonight. We have two children who have Celiac Disease and they were able to eat out a safe restaurant. The staff were absolutely fantastic! The chef came out and spoke to our family and my son who wants to be a chef when he grows up. We met the owner who was lovely!! They even invited the children into the kitchen to make gluten free sundaes. Highly recommend!! We will definitely be back.

Nice little spot in a corner street in bowmanville. It got a small interior with a little bit more tables on the patio. Pretty challenging for those with strollers or mobility challenges as it is not accessible friendly, however, it's just a few steps for those with a stroller. The waitresses were very friendly and even though they were busy they still found time to smile and talk to my little girl which is always welcome. My wife got the fish sandwich and I got the village burger. The burger was wonderful, juicy, and had the right combination of toppings. It's rated a guest favorite and I can see why! But hands down, that fish sandwich is probably the best fish sandwich we've ever had. The batter is flavorful and crunchy and it's definitely a must have. The fries were fresh and very delicious. At first the serving of fries seems small, but once you have the burger or sandwich you will be too full for fries anyways. Price wise, it was very reasonable. For the two of us we spent about $40 with tip. We don't live in bowmanville but I can assure you, we'll be back for more!

Amazing gluten free options!! The service here was amazing, our waitress was very sweet and helpful. I had the chicken and waffles, which also came with homemade bourbon maple syrup, coleslaw and fries. The waffles were definitely the best part, especially with the maple syrup. The chicken was good, wasn’t crunchy, but still good. I will absolutely be coming back to try the highly rated butter chicken and pierogis. The portion sizes are balanced, and prices are very reasonable.

Was my 1st at this small city. Found this place while wandering in downtown and took chance to go inside. Luckily they had Wednesday wing special. I noticed that they had speical in every day as well which is good. Bartender and server all were great.

We decided to stop in for dinner at 99 King because I read some great things from fellow celiacs in my FB group. My son and I have celiac and my son also has to avoid dairy. My husband can eat anything, but most of his meal was GF as well, except his dessert. My husband ordered a small nacho plate and it was GF so I had a few nachos, I had pulled pork poutine that was fabulous and our son had a burger and fries. Everything was amazing! My son had to ask about the bun because he thought it was a gluten bun. I even ordered dessert, a brownie with ice cream! I couldn't finish even half of my dinner and couldn't finish my dessert, but I took home what I could. It's so nice to go out to eat and know that they understand celiac and cross contact with gluten. Our servers were the best and the atmosphere was great as well! It was a Monday night and there was live music. Really cute place and I highly recommended it if you're celiac and even if you're not.

Looking for a friendly local with great food, and the best pint of Guinness in Canada? Look no further. Colleen and her staff are fantastic. Loads of regular events like trivia and karaoke, live music and more. Sunday roast dinner and a pint at the pub? It would be rude not to! 99 King is a fantastic place.
