Used to come here with my friends regularly, but found a bug in my food on my most recent visit. Service would be one star, but the one manager was very polite and we are regularly served by him, offered to comp part of the meal. The other manager and his friends were rather aggressive and standoffish, he was having drinks with another table during our visit, then He and his nosey friends felt the need to insert themselves into the issue and they came to tell us “we should just deal with it.” There was no reason for his nosey friends to interfere in the matter. It was very disrespectful and has generally soured my opinion of this establishment. I will probably not be back. Edit: If he is a customer and did not want to be included in my review he should not have acted like an employee and included himself in your business telling me I should just eat the bugs in my food and generally acting like he owned the place. Why am I being harassed by your other customers after finding a bug in my food, and why are you allowing drunk people to harass other customers in your establishment? That makes the experience even worse. Some drunk customer accosted me while I was paying for a dinner that had a bug in it? There was no mention of the gross old cabbage in my initial review because that wasn’t an issue compared to the dead bug I found in my food. We ate some of the cabbage and didn’t complain initially because we frequent this business and wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt. But after the bug we were all disgusted. We were offered a partial comp, but the receipt we were initially provided was entirely in mandarin or Cantonese which I do not speak nor read, I don’t think it is rude to ask for an itemised receipt in English in Canada. Also threatening your customers with legal action for their honest review but not saying anything when one of your drunk patrons approaches another table to tell them they should just eat bugs they are served when they are paying for the meal is wild.

Overall food is good, price is reasonable. The complimentary dessert is nice. However the fried squid is too salty. And beer is room temp warm, quite disappointed.

Authentic Cantonese restaurant! Great service, tasty and fresh seafood in downtown Toronto area. Will definitely recommend if you are visiting and want some authentic Chinese/Cantonese food.

Great seafood cafe. The subtle flavors and fresh seafood really make the dishes here. We ordered the steamed crab alongside various other seafood dishes and liked them all. The bonus sweet potato dessert at the end was fantastic.

The soup was incredibly "清甜" (light and sweet) and "很補" (very nourishing). Although it wasn't the best choice on a hot day, I can imagine it would be truly heartwarming to have it during the winter. The other dishes were delicious as well. The highlight, however, was the complimentary red bean and black glutinous rice dessert. It was so good that I only remembered to take a picture after I had finished it! The broccoli and scallops were amazing, I believe the kids would love broccoli if all cooked this way. Overall, a great spot for authentic Chinese cuisine. I look forward to coming back, especially during the colder months!

Had a delicious dinner at KL Kitchen. Their sizzling hot clay pot for eggplant and fish/tofu were especially really good. They even gave us some complimentary shrimps which were huge! Service here was great. Almost all of the staff were super friendly and polite. Unfortunately, the shorter lady with the thick eyebrows who speaks Mandarin was incredibly rude, and pretty much did nothing actually helpful the entire meal but was the first person to rush forward to collect the money. Maybe keep her away from the customers because she was the only negative about our experience 😊

My new go-to late night Chinese food spot in Chinatown (close at 4am). Food and service were consistently good after coming here for my second time. This place is also pretty big and I've never experienced issues getting seated. Great portions and fair prices. We ordered the beef fried rice noodles, Cantonese chow mein and sweet and sour pork on rice. Would recommend and always down to come back.

Follow @bredgyeats for more food posts! E-Fu noodles are typically eaten during birthdays as they signify longevity, and it's easy to understand with this noodle pull. It has the oily fragrance and comforting, soft texture of instant noodles but is better, combined with mushrooms and bell peppers for a aromatic bite. My go-to order at Cantonese restaurants is their beef tenderloin, the first time I tried it I was immediately hooked on the tender texture, beefy aromas and savory black pepper sauce. The onions inside also provide a refreshing crisp, being cooked just right. With seafood in its name, I couldn't leave without trying some seafood. Batter and deep fried for a juicy yet fragrant bite, that soaks up the addictingly sweet and savory honey sauce. Served on a bed of broccoli, it makes me feel healthier and provides lots of surface area to clean up the honey. Used to be a malay restaurant.
